the underlying problem regarding minorities, which is a class issue not race.
Yea, there are so many riots going on in the poorest areas of Appalachian USA! Someone needs to tell those people to rise up !
Like rioting is confined only to black people?
stupid reasons white people riot

Well, best course of action is to terrorize minorities! That will fix everything

My ancestors were stolen property and because of that I was born and raised on stolen property, but that's neither here nor there.
The whole crux of the matter is that this country needs to address all our problems as a group of people not as a black or white thing. A liberal or conservative thing. There is only one race the human race. The minute people can accept this the closer we are to solving our issues.
Pure OT gold right there. And I'm sure nobody twisted anyone's arm and made them live in the projects.

Guy speaks the truth. No big deal

Tell me what "racist" means. Is it "racist" if his observation is true and he fears destruction of his community and its lifestyle by a foreign culture? You are literally forbidden to make racial/cultural observations, even when they are manifestly obvious, because some simpleton will claim "racism" with all the bullshite stigma that goes with that ill defined term.
And the interviewer sounds like a hippie douche as well. Would he act so indignant if the subject was blacks complaining about gentrification? No, he wouldn't.

Your ancestors were fricked regardless of whether they were sold into slavery by rival tribes. If the trans-continental slave trade never occurred, your ancestors would be in an even worse position living in present day Africa. Blacks have a far better opportunity in America today than blacks in Africa. Stop bitching and making excuses. Opportunity has been presented to black Americans for decades and they refuse to take advantage at large with the exception of about 10% who have prospered. Much respect to that 10% as they are true examples of courage and determination.

Exactly! They should thank the white man daily for getting them out of that shithole that is Africa and giving them the opportunity to live in a country with unlimited opportunity for all. Their ancestors were screwed but the fact remains that blacks TODAY should be thankful for what our ancestors did.

Probably not $350K+ neighborhoods. But many middle class neighborhoods aren't in that range. I recall when most of Algiers was decent, when Woodmere was decent, when Terrytown was decent, when much of New Orleans East was decent. None of those were 350K areas but still fine places to raise a family. Add some apartments, sprinkle in an oil bust and watch Section 8 go to work.
Very Little in New Orleans would be considered decent by any one outside of New Orleans
I was born there and met my wife there. I love the city which means I love parts of the city

Exactly...and we know why. The same exact damn pattern we always see, and what the guy in the video sees. Every fricking time.

I was born in nola too, and you're only able to love 'parts' of the city bc vast swathes of land are simply disgusting. And some of those areas were not that way until relatively recently. And the guy in the video doesn't want his neighborhood to go the same way. For that, he's racist I suppose.

It's not racist if it's true.

We had a black family move into our neighborhood a few months back and they're the only ones. So far so good. Hard working parents and 2 preteen kids. They keep to themselves, the kids have made some friends on the street and their property is well kept. I have no issue as of yet but understand the concern.
Exactly...I can tell you from my own experience, it will change! We had several excellent black neighbors at first but as the white flight began, values started going down and for sale signs went up...also, crime increased that wasn't there at all for the 30+ yrs living there. Had to leave a fully paid for house and move to a safer Parish. It sucked but my advise would be leave early rather than later.
Liberals will scream racism but it's nothing more than safety and economics to make the smart move now!

Wow. just wow. And some of you don't see the issue with his statements. fricking racist bitch.

I mean, they just move in the neighborhood. You just can’t come in the neighborhood. I’m for democracy and letting everybody live but you gotta have some respect. You can’t just come in when people have a culture that’s been laid down for generations and you come in and now shite gotta change because you’re here? Get the frick outta here. Can’t do that!

Or, the black tribesmen who captured his ancestors would have simply eaten them instead of selling them to the slave runners.
