logically, that this thing is soooooo overblown.

What did he do to obstruct? Not sure you got the correct wording there
Obstruct, impede, hamper, delay, they're synonyms.

There's also a nice tidbit on the fact that the official couldn't remember what gauge he used to measure the air pressure
And then the Wells investigators coaxed the answer they wanted out of him. Even though he said numerous times he didnt remember.
But it's a totally independent investigation...

If you're admitting it's a petty crime, seems like the logical step would be to admit the punishment is wayyyyyy over reaching to a petty crime.
To make a better comparision like you did, it's like parking illegally in a spot without feeding the meter, lying about it, then getting 3 years in jail for it.

Other people have admitted to Steroids, other people have admitted to drunk driving, etc etc. When you get caught in the act of cheating, then lie about it, you will get punished even if it is a petty crime such as this. It really seems like a simple concept to me that I learned from a young age
Yea, this is a valid comparison to drunk driving

This thread just proves why Pats nation is the worst

Obstruct, impede, hamper, delay, they're synonyms.
If you're talking about not turning over his cell phone, that's not obstructing, nor does any of those other synonyms fitting here.
There'a huge difference between the 2.
Again, I didn't read the report, so there may be somthing in there that show she did obstruct, hence my question asking about it.

That's what we're dealing with here.

Haven't followed it super closely, but since those text messages were made public, was that just an attempt to give Brady a chance to tell them what they already knew?
I'm not sure if they asked for Brady's phone before or after they got the other text messages.
But the fact that the texts got released to the public like that is the exact reason I wouldn't turn over my phone. The league office has zero integrity and is full of leaks. You can tell me all day that all you want to look at is stuff that pertains to the investigation but I don't believe it whenever you couldn't keep your own office from leaking out false rumors during the first week of the scandal

I have no idea if it is, but if you can't acknowledge that, then you're wayyyyy too biased to contribute anything worthy to this discussion.
That would be, or should be a pretty big deal if true. You're saying, "so what if it is true, don't care"

Never really said we did or didn't do it. Probably did, it's not a big deal.
Just saying that the investigation was a joke, just like the rest of them have been.

Why should the punishment exceed what was collectively bargained for?

Like HUGE, not sure why you're discounting that.

No...I'm just pointing out how Brady's suspension rests on evidence that is very flimsy. It's very possible that he did deflate the footballs but the investigation by Wells didn't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he did. There is way too much grey area to warrant any kind of punishment on Brady, let alone the Patriots organization.
