I don't necessarily want it completely dead as bad as I want it to be close enough to not get itself hung up in the tree.
It's ok though. Bought a single six 6.5" convertible. This thing is FINE.
The gun wasn't the issue, I just needed to justify a single six to myself.

Congrats on the new gun. The Single Six is a true classic. I'm sure you'll like it. For extra velocity, you might still try some of the hypervelocity 22 LR's. Let us know how the new gun works out.
