American Pharoah next TC winner?

he'll win the preakness i'm sure of that. it's shorter and the best horses have no stake in the preakness and will rest for the belmont
the belmont...i think he has the best chance to win since Big Brown, but i'm not 100% confident. Of all the triple crown winners, none have ever won with a jockey that was not based in NY or rode NY regularly and Vic is a Southern California rider. Belmont Racecourse is the toughest track in america to ride because it's so big it throws your timing off
More importantly becuase the race is so long, it's a jockeys natural instinct to want to conserve energy and stock and try to make a late move but usually winners are horses that take the lead and no one ca pass them. I doubt they shoot to the lead in the race I don't think Vic has those type of balls

AS much as I like AP, I'd prfer he not be the first TC winner in over 30 years, I don't care for the owner all that much he's a low life, and I hate the horses sire (Pioneerof the nile) with every bone in my body

Don't know much about Horse racing. Pretty much just watch the Big 3. But I don't think Pharoah was a big favorite this year like Chrome was last year.
It is the same owner and same jockey as Chrome though.

I just wished Loblolly wasn't broken up. As for Z as a person I know nothing of him, other than being a non-American.
I think Smarty and War Emblem are going to be more loved if AP falters in the state.

Not same owner. Same jockey though.

It's not the same owner. The owner last year was some dude out in Cali that works a 9-5
The owner this year is Zayet who has a pretty big stable and is Egyptian - American
SAme jockey though
PHaroah is a better horse than chrome, but this year's crop of 3 year olds are much better than last year's

He's done some pretty shady things with some of the horses he's owned. He ran a horse called thorn song into the ground , then told the bank the horse was dead to collect an insurance payment on him and it tu rned out he wasn't dead he just couldn't run anymore.
He bought a shite load of horses he couldn't afford and owed Fifth Third Bank like 30 million dollars and had to file for chapter 11 back in 2010
He's not as bad as the guy who owned Big Brown IEAH. But he's a clear notch below as far as the slimy factor is concerned

Not to belabor a point, but didn't Loblolly state 4 years ago it was coming back? Or did the wife block it again?

coming back in 2 weeks from the grueling stretch run will be tough. I'm pulling for him though.

I can understand hating the owner but exactly how do you hate a horse? What has he done to you that you hate the horse?
Posted on 5/3/15 at 5:28 pm to weagle99
With Bob Baffert, anything is possible.

Isn't fast enough out the gate to when Preakness.

He's usually a front runner he's fast enough. His last 2 races are the only times he's been behind
