If he is cleared 100% of everything, he will become the drafts biggest martyr ever.
I'd see some merit going free aagency and hope the BRPD can get some stones turned over by that time......he may very well be able to negotiate a 1 year deal to expedite an even larger payday for the 2016 season.

Makes some lemonade so to speak.

Can't renegotiate until after second year on an undrafted free-agent contract. Rookies who are drafted can't renegotiate until after third year.

I think his agent should have kept his piehole shut and just let the process play out. A guy with an unresolved legal issue already has a huge red flag around him. He definitely shouldn't have an agent out there blustering about with whom and where he'll sign. This kind of talking doesn't make the client any more attractive to NFL teams who are probably on alert after the recent domestic-abuse issues.

La'El Collins did a really bad job of choosing his agent.

Ah....oh well.

If he is truly exonerated, the NFL should allow him in the supplemental. It'dbe a travesty of the worst kind to smear a good young mans dream on pure ccircumstance. I understand the rules, but this would be a huge exception.

yea.....his agent fricked himself as well. It spread like wild fire to stay far from him. He handled this very poorly.

The NFL has already denied his appeal to go in the supplemental draft. It's drafted today or undrafted free-agent route.

Where his agent screwed him besides all the public bluster was not checking with the league first to see if he could enter the draft next year before popping off about it.

To be fair, the situation may have dictated that Collins doesn't get drafted no matter what the agent did or didn't say. But the agent certainly didn't help things.

I understand that. I just would hope at some point people realize theIinadvertent railroad job happening to him....provided he's innocent

But Dorial Green-Beckham was drafted. NFL hypocrisy at its finest

Ray Carruth was tried for murder.

Aaron Hernandez was tried for murder.

La'El hasn't been accused of a single crime

As a non-union member, he should absolutely sue the NFL

Ya think Goodell wanted to be seen giving a hug to a possible murderer in front of the world? I wouldn't be the least bit surprise if his office had placed a few calls to interested teams. (btw- I'm not implicating La'el whatsoever; wasn't my point)

They aren't. But this is not even remotely close to the issue.

Rape and questioned in a murder case is closer.

Tried for murder? What planet are you on?

I've been saying this, his agent has fricked him over since the news broke. Why he wasn't trying to clear his name a second after blows my mind

Agreed. Should have spoke to the cops, provided them with what he knew and cleared his name. All of this could have been done before the draft. His agent/lawyer are freaking stupid as hell.
