In real life, people with those kind of powers would be scary as hell. I think that is one thing that the Batman vs Superman movie got me thinking about. Can you imagine the reaction people would have in real life if some dude could fly around, was indestructible, could shoot heat rays out of his eyes, could hear a pin drop miles away, and could move faster than anything humans could think of? That would be some scary crap right there.
Now I don't know if I'd trust the government to keep tabs on them, but if they didn't, who would? Someone would have to because the risk would just be too great for people with those types of powers to start abusing them.

If Superman wanted to abuse his power, what would the government do to stop him?

Thought exercises like this lead me to conclude that people dont REALLY believe in God. Not like they believe in bears or spruce trees anyway. I mean, God can do all that stuff multiplied by a billion and unlike superman is omnipotent and omnipresent and people wake up and go about their business like it was nothing. So either they dont really believe OR the existence of superheroes wouldnt cause that much of a disturbance as one would think.
