Good one...
I'm sorry I'm defending a guy against false claims. That piece Blues posted in the OP was pretty bad. Not because I disagreed with it, but because there was no substance. It was all subjective opinions from one person. I actually agree about not liking Ray but I still think it was a poor wrote up.
I may be in the minority when it comes to Dupree on this board (which I'm fine with, because this isn't exactly the upper echelon of information). But around other draft media and sites I'm well within the majority. For every negative article I could find 2-3 good ones for Dupree.
Like I said in another thread, I'm not swooning over Dupree like you'd have people believe. I just feel I'm the only one that ever defends him against misleading criticism, so it gives that vibe. I'd do the same thing in the same situation for any other player I've extensively researched.
I couldn't care less if we took Dupree, Collins, Gregory, or Shelton at 13. I think they're all really good prospects.
ETA: It'd be no different than if somebody in some thread stated La'el was lacking in the run blocking department. You and I know that to be untrue so we'd counter it.
The only difference is, since this is a LSU-based site, there are a lottttt more people familiar with Collins and know that not to be true. So the Collins-defense army in that case would seem more unified and larger.

Im not crazy about the guy but its probably who we will draft at 13, Scherff/Collins/Gregory/Beasley and all the rest of the people everyone wants will all be gone. So I hope he turns out to be as good as you think he will.
ETA: And by the way, I was just messing with you when I posted that picture up there. Everyone knows you have his fathead above your bed already.

That's almost as good as the schedule you made yesterday.

RG at 13 would be G fly, that dude can ball.
Tre Jackson, solid G.
Ryan Ruseel, dude has the makings to better Rufus Johnson
Blake Bell... Solid 3 TE
Jordan Phillips makings of a dominant NT.

I honestly don't think Dupree lasts till us either.
I feel like I give off this Dupree-or-bust vibe tho, which couldn't be further from the truth. (Part of that could be my fault for always defending him, but there's nobody else to do it on ST )
Do I naturally have a preference? Of course. Is that preference Dupree? Yes, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But there are about 5-6 guys I'd be extremely happy with if we took at 13. Even if we passed on Dupree to get them.

I'm about to go post my latest and probably final mock in the mock thread, go check it out..........since your like the only person who ever looks at that thread.

I'm the exact opposite
Dorsett is another small WR, we don't need that. I'd rather a guy like McBride or Lewis at that spot.
And y'all shite on Dupree for being a "combine-warrior"... Conley is the walking definition of that.
My only real issue with that draft is no ILB in first 3 rounds.

I would be excited with Gregory, Shelton, or Collins/Scherf! Not so much with Dupree or Ray.
Posted on 4/22/15 at 8:38 am to tke_swamprat
Gregory's weight loss scares me. Losing 10 lbs in the span of a month is drastic.
I don't see why so many people hate on Dupree, he is not just solely an edge rusher, he can cover and has instincts to play the run game. Isn't that the kids of player we would want?

I'll take any of the other options over Ray. DO NOT WANT!

Dupree isn't any more of a reach than La'el as an OG at 13.
Posted on 4/22/15 at 12:02 pm to Neauxla
I'm not. Dupree is a top 15 player at a premium position. Collins is an OG(OT?). All things equal, the OG is more of a reach than an EDGE at 13.
