Spring Game 2016

What would you do differently?
The way the 1's D-line dominated the 2's O-line, I'm not sure anyone from the 2's were able to show much Saturday.
I would mix the 1's & 2's.
I would like to see the 1's D-line go up against the 1's O-line. Thus, the 2's D-line would go against the 2's O-line.
In other words, the 2's would have the 1's lineman, and the 1's would have the 2's lineman.
Even lines would allow all others a chance to stand out more, I think. QBs could still swap sides.

The Coaches are looking for match ups. They are trying to find out who on the #2 Offense or Defense can play and back up the #1's. Remember this is Practice and a Controlled Scrimmage so the Coaches can look at the film and find players.

Nope leave it the exact same way. What's the point of playing an extremely competitive game with starters going against each other and increasing the risk of injury? More than half of the starters were already pegged in. Miles just wants to see how well they gel together and give the backups a challenge to test our depth and see who can compete with starters or step up if need be. As for the backup secondary I wouldn't worry at all. Gage is still in a transition, and Toliver looked good. Donte Jackson and Xavier Lewis will provide all the depth needed and immediately earn playing time.

This game isn't for the pleasure of the fans. It's for the 1s to get some relatively light, live reps (specifically the qbs) and to see if some of the 2s can assert themselves. Let Les run his own practices.
