Game of Thrones S5:E2:"The House of Black & White", HODORS ONLY (No Readers)

No "Leakers" Either!
"The House of Black & White"
Arya reaches Braavos, while Brienne and Pod encounter trouble on the road; Cersei is fearful for the safety of her daughter in Dorne; Ellaria Sand craves revenge for her lover Oberyn's death; Stannis speaks with Jon; Daenerys is tempted.
1.) I never thought we'd hear from Ellaria Sand again, to be honest.
2.) Will Stannis "correct" Jon Snow? Or will Melisandre hit him with her VooDoo Poonanny? (FTR, the sexiest thing about Melisandre is her voice.)
3.) Daeneryis will be tempted? Tempted to say ,"Where is my Dragon!!??!!??" after not saying it for a whole season.
I'm stealing this one from Slate:
Who was the worst person in Westeros/Free Cities in Episode 1?
I say it was Stannis for burning Mance. I realise that Melisandre lit the fire, but Stannis gave the nod.
Can't wait for Ep. 2.

I would give anything to see Jon in a setting that isn't the wall, or above the wall

Seriously. I am so fricking sick of the wall.

I like the wall, It just kills me that Jon is wasting away up there and refuses to leave no matter the circumstance
Goddamn Starks and their damn honor.

My least favorite episode of the entire show was the fight at the wall. I hated it so much. I don't like action at all. I always find it redundant and difficult/ not important to follow.

Well that's where we disagree
That episode was badass besides the cheesy Jon-snow-holding-Ingrid-in-the-middle-of-a-bloody-fricking-battle thing
I love the political nature of the show as well but it would get stale without the action to eventually follow the threats that fill most of the season
If people just talked and talked it would basically become what Danny has become. Just an absolute chore to watch

And I actually don't hate the Dany storyline nearly as much as most.
I don't disagree that battles need to happen. But there best be tons of great dialogue squeezed in those episodes to keep me entertained.

Melisandre
In other news, I'm not sure whether Stannis is friend or foe right now. I have a feeling this episode will tell us a lot about his immediate intentions

I'll never forgive her for wasting as much screen time as she did in season 4

I binge-watched and it just didn't seem as bad as most people think. I like Greyworm and the dragons, and the white guy(s) that help her. But people also warned me that she would absolutely suck in season 4, so I think I was pleasantly surprised when she didn't really lose any ground. She just didn't gain much either.

When there are literally 10 different storyline more interesting than hers, and she still gets 30 minutes of an episode, it's frustrating
frickin Moutain vs viper, Arya/hound frickin shite up, Sansa and little finger, Stannis and the sun god, Jon snow on the wall, white walkers, wildlings, etc etc
But we need 30 fricking minutes of Danny being sad that her slaves aren't happy

Fair points. My favorite scene in the whole show is still when she freed the unsullied, and they chose to join her.

Literally the last interesting thing she's done

The virgin question has me wondering what her plan is for Jon.

I think if he had been a virgin then Snow would have met the same fate as Mance. Red Lady was pleased to find out he wasn't a virgin because now she can have a piece.
