How much pasta for 100 serving pastalaya?

I've used the Jambalaya Caculator before and it's incredible, but need volume help on Pastalaya. Been asked to cook a pastalaya for 100 and am not sure on how much pasta I need. My guess is 15 lbs of spaghetti.
Thanks in advance for advice.

The Jambalaya Calculator will work, just use 1 1/4 quarts of liquid per pound of pasta instead of rice.

Thanks! Didn't think a pound of pasta made as many servings as a pound of rice.
Looks like I need 16 lbs. Thanks again Rat

I don't know why I wrote "pounds of Liquid" above - of course I meant quarts.

Just plain nasty crap!

Ok, so if I am making pastalaya using my normal jambalaya recipe, I simply use the same amount of pasta instead of rice?

15 will be plenty and a safe bet. 3# will feed 25 mixed-appetite people easily.

How much water do you use in your jambalaya? Use that to convert to pasta.
For example, I use 4.5 cups of water per pound of pasta. So if I use 2 gallons (32 cups) of water in my jambalaya, I do 32/4.5 and that gives me pounds of pasta.

3 pounds may feed 25 but definitely not easily. 25 is pushing the limit.

I don’t know how much y’all eat on 6th and Barone, but I’ve done this dozens of times and had 25+ servings EVERY time.

He just wants something to have a counter stance over

Pasta calculation is 7 servings per pound. 7x3 is 21. Which is why I said you may get 25, but it’s pushing the limit. I can’t agree that 3 pounds will “easily” serve 25.
If he has another view, fine. I never said anything about him. I’m just sharing my knowledge based on my experience. Do you want one view when you ask a question or multiple views?

Very simple, divide people by six. Seven if lighter eaters or if you want to be damn sure. Five if serving a bunch of hogs. And yes, jambalaya/pastalaya, same rule of thumb.

30 pounds of meat and 15 pounds of pasta should do the trick.
