Does Chiropractic Treatment Work?

Have had major neck pain for a good while. No bulging discs or anything like that. I've got one of those orthopedic pillows that helps, but I still wake up with neck pain/headaches everyday.
Anyone used the a chiropractor before? did it help? Thanks!

How many people have you heard say they saw one for a short amount of time and it worked? Now how many have you heard say "I've been going to mine for (insert years) and they are great!"

Selling endorphins is a great way to legally sell drugs.

It's always seemed sketchy to me but something I'd like to try.

No. They go to "school" in strip malls.....
Complete scam artists. Go see a real doctor.
ETA: Or a masseuse. They are trained better and you might even get a happy ending.......

My wife had been going to her chiropractor for years and for years it did nothing but offer short term relief for her shoulder. I always told her to go to a physical therapists. She finally went to a PT last month and her shoulder is actually feeling better and stronger.
She hates it that I'm always right

Also if you go and start to have severe pain or feel light headed do NOT let them convince you to go home. They will tell you to go home and call 911 if it doesn't get better. Now they can claim you did something to yourself between leaving their office and calling 911.

Neurologist and PT for treatment is what I'd do before seeing a Chiro.

I used to think it was complete voodoo....even in the face of one of my good friends being a chiro. However, a few years ago I was having some back pain secondary to too much golf and I decided to let him look at me. Changed my mind....getting adjusted by a GOOD chiro makes a world of difference....however, some do not know their limitations. They are only good for so much

$2,800 and nearly a year of treatment and my neck pains are as bad as ever. There's a reason most insurances don't cover them. I let several family members convince me it would work.

This is what I want to do.
I've got problems too severe for the chiropractor. The massage and happy ending may provide relief.

Mother-in-law works for one so I get in free. I go when my sciatic goes nuts and one treatment make it manageable for me. No idea on anything else though.

Chiropractic was helpful in treating my whiplash. The main thing I learned was how to crack my own neck when it locks up. I sought chiropractic treatment for a couple of months after injuring my neck in a fall and thereafter no longer required treatment. I also went to a neurologist and my MRI revealed 2 damaged vertebrae in my upper neck that often get misaligned causing pain and numbness. But as long as I keep my neck cracked/realigned I'm OK. My neurologist told me that I would know when it was time to have an operation because the pain would become unbearable. It's not at this point and I have been living with it for about 20 years.
