I'm on a computer. 95% of my post are red lights are sneaking them in at work. I'm a competent typist i'm just lazy to go back and fix and error when on my phone

Injuries made an impact but the terrible bench the Pels had to start the year was a much bigger deal. If they start the year with QPon, Cole, and DC in the main rotation instead of Babbit, Jimmer, AR, and 10 day contract guy then I really believe they would have been in the 2-6 scrum in the West.

NO chance..we're talking a 10 games difference. A trio of average bench players doesn't make up 10 games.

Pels record against their conference speaks for itself. Their win % with those players and w/o also proves the point.

The West had plenty of scrub teams this year. The record against the WHOLE league speaks much louder.

15 teams in the conference, 7 were better than the Pels, 7 teams were worse.

MINN
LAL
SAC
DEN

All very shitty teams.

They are 6-7 games above 500 since QPon trade. Even prior.

Pels bench to start the wasn't just bad if was epically bad. All of those guys should be at the end of a bench at best.

That's no excuse. The "Pels" includes the bonehead management who decided to have that roster to start the season. Can't say 'what if' in this case jhmo.

Not trying to make excuses. I just said if they Pels had the team now at the beginning of the season then I think they would be in the 2-6 range in the West. Of course it is just an opinion and a what if.

IMO,The current Pels team would have a decent shot against any team in the West playoffs not named GS. The Pels record the last 30 or so games plus the current good health of their key players backs that up.

Wrong, come on bro. 19 of the 30 teams in the NBA have missed more games to injuries than the Pelicans.

For a statistician like yourself, is this the best indicator? What about comparing WARP or EWA lost to injuries?

I can't remember exact rankings and I'm posting on my phone. But if you look it up, I'm sure the Pelicans would be one of the 5-10 teams most affected by injuries.

When you guys nearly run out of players to finish a game like OKC did this year, call me.

quote:

Holiday played 40 games.
Gordon played 61 games.
Evans played 79 games.
Anderson played 61 games.
Asik played 76 games.

Is all less damaging than Ibaka missing 98 games and Durant missing 135 games.

They come in 12th, pretty close to the middle of the pack.

Pondexter couldn't even get off the bench in MEM, Cole and Cunningham are average backups come on bro use some common sense. Those guys aren't worth 10 wins.

A legit 10 guys would have eliminated a bunch of the terrible losses. The Pels record since QPon speaks for itself so you add QPon and co to start the year with a healthy Jrue and Ryno then I think many would agree the Pels are in the same league as teams not named GS.

I think NONE would agree besides a few Pels fans.
