Pels beat the best team in the league, still bitching. smh

Anderson was a +13 Net Rating last night. Asik was a -11. Bogut was a +16. Seems like Monty made the right call.

Personally, I'd try to force Bogut to guard Davis or Anderson rather than roam in the paint off Asik, if I think my defense can hold up (news flash: Davis/Anderson usually do outperform their opponents).

Same thing tonight; Gasol and ZBo can't guard Anderson at the arc. That doesn't mean you ride Anderson all night of course. But it's a good matchup for the Pels. Davis/Anderson v ZBo/Gasol is a large reason why the Pels have been Memphis kryptonite the past few years.

That's why I made my Props to Monty thread. I still think it was the wrong call but the result says it was the right move.

How many times did Bogus block Asik last night? Anderson actually defended Bogus fairly well in limited opportunities last night. He also rebounded and boxed him out. The one rebound I remember Bogus getting over Anderson was a clearly foul that wasn't called.

Anderson has his issues, but he was not a negative last night. The two late turnovers were tough, but one of them was a combination of a lazy pass by Ryno and lazy effort by Evans to get himself open.

ETA - I forgot that it wasn't actually a turnover, but it lead to an awful situation. The fact that Evans walked the ball up the court with 9 seconds on the clock had me shaking my head.

Bogut doesn't have the offensive prowess that Gasol/ZBo does. I think Anderson has been used well the past two games matching up on Bogut/Lee and Aldridge/Kaman. 31 minutes last night and 18 the prior game against tougher match ups. It will be interesting to see what Monty does tonight.
