do you even rant bro?

honestly i think stoops shouldn't be ahead of him or even in the top five IMO.

Also, Patterson and Briles will move up if they can continue success

I would put les at #3 myself. Stoops should barely make the top ten.

Just curious other than the fact he coaches the team you pull for by what standard would you put Miles ahead of Stoops?

Do I think Les is a bit overrated here? Yes, yes I do. If he wasn't the cartoon character that is Les Miles, he'd no doubt drop a notch or two,

So true

You forgot he has never lost a regular season out of conference game.

Considering we've played teams like Oregon, Wisconsin, TCU, Virginia Tech, all in that stretch, that's incredible.

I know the Big 12 isn't the SEC, but Stoops is winning 80% of his games, has had Okla. ranked in the Top 10 like 9 times, has 8 conference titles, leads all Power 5 conference teams in wins, and has played for 2 NCs.

Barely making the top 10 seems overly harsh.

Saban, Meyer, Jimbo, Harbaugh, Jim Mora Jr., Gus Mahlzahn, Mark Dantonio, Art Briles, Gary Patterson.....give me all these guys over Les in a heartbeat. So I'd put Les at #10. Still a solid coach.

Diggy,

Look at the overall picture. They have both won a lot of games, they both have played for 2 national championship games, both recruit really well.

The difference, Les has won a championship, plays in the SEC, hasn't dropped as many (just one :( ) big games.

Say what you will, but if people don't understand that there is a difference in having to play in the SEC game in and game out vs any other conference, they are kidding themselves.

I think we are better with Les than without him at this point. No one good enough available out there to replace him. We could be Tennessee.

None of those guys have accomplished anything close to what Miles has done at LSU for an extended period of time and none of them have played in the strongest division of the strongest conference in college football for a decade.

All this kinda stuff is beauty to the eye, but I think Miles comes in somewhere between 4-8 in the minds of most reasonable people.

Harbaugh might turn out to be greatest college HC in history, but his price tag, for what he accomplished as a college HC and I know he had some success in the NFL too, defies any logic known to me.

All that nfl talent and only 3 bcs bowl games. Underperforms more than anyone.

Terrible.

Per CBS Sports: Les Miles is the No. 4 coach in the country.

Per Tiger Rant: Les Miles is the No. 15 coach in the SEC.
