He's not the best coach but he recruits like hell, which is why he's as successful as he is because he has the men that can play ball.

So in your fevered brain all Les has to do is just recruit, throw the ball out on to the field during practice and just let things happen?

Please tell me that you aren't allowed out without a keeper.

The most frustrating, yet lovable coach ever. God Bless that weirdo.

I hope he sticks around for a long time. Regardless of what the haters say, recruits love him, his players love him, parents love him, and he wins!

Other than Meyer you would have wanted all those other coaches fired by now. Saban has been great at bama, but some of his seasons at LSU would have had the rant calling for his head.

Stoops has won a championship, played in more championship games, has more conference titles, and non of his big game flops are any worse than 1-9-12.

Saban never had back to back ten win seasons at LSU, loss to fricking UAB, and has last team here was 4th in the SEC.

Not sure about any worse, but they lost to USC 55-19 in the National Title game. It was 55-10 before USC called off the dogs

They lost 35-7 in the Big 12 championship in 2003 too

He's had some awful losses

Perhaps you have no recollection of how people talked about him in 2004, the year after LSU won the NC. Folks were always whining about how a NC was not dominating its opponents.

Of course, you don't recollect caller predictions the night LSU lost to UAB. The trouncing at the hands of Florida and the brook-trout look.

Certainly Saban's status is quite exalted now. If you think BR treated him well during his tenure, you are mistaken.

Ranters have a very high opinion about the resources that LSU has. Facts cited to make that case are mostly selective.

- Other than Mannings who has been a successful college QB at college level or NFL that LSU should have recruited that year?
- Why do you think that LSU facilities are top 5? They are good, but you have to keep up with the Joneses. LSU cannot afford to delay its nutrition center because building one now looks ostentatious when the state is in such a fiscal mess.

Of course Les has lost control of state's economy. Thanks Obama.
