You're not thinking long term. The future of sports (and many businesses in a global market), is expansion overseas. It's basic economics.
It also doesn't take an MBA from Harvard to look at what basketball has done overseas the last 20 years since the 1992 Olympics (or the growth in soccer in the US since the 1994 World Cup) as a blueprint for how to grow a sport in a new market successfully. The owners are about growing the pie, and long term this is by far the best way to do that.

I can almost guarantee you that this violates the CBA in some fashion.
And it would require a decent concession from the owners in their new deal to make this happen.
Not saying it won't happen, but it's not as easy as saying, "hey, we want to move a team there. ok great, let's do it." that DS is trying to make it seem.

Then he sucks.

They go hand in hand, idiot.
You don't know what you're talking about. The NFL could easily buy a concord for use flying teams to and from London and it would make the trip a good bit easier. That's really not debatable.

Comparing football in Europe right now to basketball overseas in the early 90s or soccer in the US in the early 90s is utterly ridiculous as far as popularity goes. They aren't even in the same stratosphere.

They need to poll the NFL players to see what percentage would even consider playing for a London-based team.
all of them if they had to...
"Hmmm London or Arena League... Hmmm"

Its a little bit of a longer haul but not nearly as dramatic as you think.
I wouldn't want to go into business with you, you have no ambition or vision.

I was talking about free agency. Didn't think I had to spell that out.

They will go where the money is. If they will play in Green Bay or Buffalo, they will play in London.

Overseas in a different country is a bigger deal than you're making it out to be.

Too many games to put just one NBA team over there or they would have done it long ago.

If I had the opportunity to go live in another country for a few years as part of my job, I would be really excited. I understand some people are a bit more fearful and closed minded of other cultures though. I don't understand that mentality at all but I suppose some players might have that attitude.

What is youth participation in it like over there? Serious question.

and it won't be nearly as hard as some think

#1 They will play 4 game blocks home and away.
#2 They will have an east coast base of operations for their two 4 game away trips.
#4 Both of London's 4 game away stands will begin in one of those cities.
#5 Concord style plane to make flights easier both on London players but also players and staff traveling away to play at London.
So they need to go on month long trips from home twice a year, stay in a temporary base for half their season and revive a plane that hasn't flown in a dozen years. Ya I have no idea why people think it's a logistical nightmare
Also TBH it's a different discussion but I don't think there's as much growth to be had as you think. I think given the health issues football will decline in the coming decades. I truthfully think we've seen/are seeing it's peak
