My wife and I received a gift certificate to the restaurant and were thinking of using it this week. Neither of us has been before so we are not sure what to expect.
For those that have been before, any must-have items or dishes to avoid? How's the food/service overall?

I eat in NOLA often. Lots of good places to eat but there also are some bad ones.

I prefer it for brunch vs. dinner. Everything I've had has been very good.
BYOB for mimosas!
If there's a wait, walk down to Good Friends for a bloody mary.

Big fan of the deviled eggs and other apps. BYOB like poster said. Cool little casual joint.

The time I ate there it was mediocre. I returned my original dish and got something else that was only marginally better. And they lost my reservation.

Regift.
It's nothing special. It's BYOB with a $15 corkage fee after the first bottle. That's the only thing that stood out to me any time I've had to go. I'm not sure why it's still open.

Have brought multiple bottles a number of times and never paid a corkage fee.
OP, good place. Fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had.

I thought EAT got more love on this board. Agreed, it's forgettable

Good brunch but the corkage fee is a little ridiculous.
