Debate me why Tyreke shouldn't start over Gordon if Jrue returns.

its good to have 3 point shooters to stretch the floor.
thats all i got.
but it is interesting to see how Gordon's game has changed

No doubt tyreke is a better player but tyreke needs the ball in his hands to operate where Gordon does not. Having Jrue and reke makes jrue worse due to less spacing as well. Plus it spreads out the attack as tyreke does not have to spread it around and take turns with facilitating because he is the primary ball handler in the second unit.

Jrue is also returning from injury and I don't think he's ready to play full time pg. Jrue played great next to Reke for a few months early in the season.

Gordon is the better defender and shooter.
Passer is a wash, both have derped it up often, but EG at least drives and dishes it to the open man.

Tyreke is only second to harden on points created on drives so that's not true. Gordon isn't a better defender they both suck at it but at least players can't just shoot over Reke like they do Gordon. Reke can badly defend a Pg, Sg, and sf, While Gordon is too slow to guard pgs and too small to guard a sg.

Tyreke
- has the basketball IQ of a flea
- His defense is atrocious
- He's a complete liability in the clutch
- Doesn't space the floor
- Selfish tendencies
Gordon
- is an assassin from 3
- Defense is bad, but I find it hard for anyone to be worse than Tyreke
- Hits clutch shots
- Much more of a team player
- spaces the floor, making it easier for everyone on the court to operate

considering how often and how much he has the ball in his hands, I would hope he has a higher number of points created on drives.
You must love how much he derps it when he just drives and throws it up randomly instead of dishing it.

Tyreke
-True
-True
-Monty's fault stop letting him have the last fricking shot
-True
-False he avgs 6 assist a game and has had several double digit assist games. He also creates the second most points on drives and the players shoot best on his assist with the open looks he creates.
Gordon
-True
-False, his defense is horrible Westbrook had a career high back to back on him and he's too short to guard most sgs.
-False Gordon just tried to dribble last game instead of shooting knowing they would foul.
- When you can only shoot 3's and can score past that you have to be.
-Morrow did that for 14 mil less

I think Tyreke creates so many open looks with his drives ppl gets pissed he doesn't make every pass but this guy is a scorer first and not a natural pg for his postion he's a great passer. If Tyreke made every open pass he would avg 11 assist a game.

Or the fact that, when he's in, nobody respects his shooting so they simply pack the paint and make the team around him beat you.
Pretty much shuts him down along with anyone else that plays inside.
Here's one for you, last two minutes of the game:
Gordon:
11/17 fg (64.7%)
7/8 3pt (87.5%)
3/4 ft (75.0%)
3 rebounds
3 assists
3 turnovers
Evans:
12/41 fg (29.3%)
0/8 3pt (0.0%)
16/22 ft (72.7%)
16 rebounds
14 assists
6 turnovers
tells me that he's a liability down the stretch. No player that shoots 29.3% in the waning 2 minutes should be taking 41 shots.
He is inefficient with a low basketball IQ. EG might be dumb for one frickup, but Tyreke is possibly MR with how many he's had.
That is why you leave him on the bench to wreck shop against inferior talent and let EG space for AD/Asik. He's a bad point guard. So let him run the 2nd unit or 5-6minutes after the first quarter and let Jrue start with EG.
EG brings more to the table that helps the starting line up, he gives spacing for AD to work inside instead of having to settle for jumpers, he gives Asik room to catch and dunk, he gives QPon/Cunningham space to get rebounds, and he gives Jrue a guy that can space the floor so he can make more reasonable passes inside.

So by your logic Morrow is better because that is all who Gordon is now. Tyreke's put tons of pressure on defense and Gordon put none.

yeah, sure.
You asked who should start and the fact is EG should start. You want the offense to run through AD, not through Tyreke.
If you want Tyreke to go balls to the wall, you let him do it with mismatches off the bench against opponents he can dominant 99% of the time.

/thread Tyreke's strength is dominating the ball, let him do that with the 2nd unit. Cole, Cunningham, Ryno and Ajinca also give him lots of dump off options.

There is no way Evans is a better defender that's ridiculous. Evans is one of the laziest MFers on that end of the floor.

Reke is far and away the second best player on this team. Don't care if he starts, but he is the only other guy out there winning games and that is not up for debate.

So you start this thread after Gordon has a few bad games in a row? If you want people to overreact to a few games...well I guess that's what the Internet is for, but I think it's really a question about complimentary player vs. ball dominant player. And the answer to that question depends on how much of a load they want to put on Jrue, and if AD is ready to be the hub of the offense. But maybe you're asking the wrong question (looking to next year).
I personally would rather
Holiday/Cole
Pondexter/Tyreke
Carroll/Cunningham
AD/Ryno
Asik/Ajinca
