Getting Mike The Tiger Into His Cage by Mr. Wayne
Too many Peta members bitch about him being on campus. They are looking for anything the can find to get him removed from campus. Enjoy him before the game. Don't think he roars when he makes it inside anyway.
We used to (and may still?) have a recording of a tiger roaring played over the sound system when LSU scores a TD.

I remember reading something last year that Mike was kept indoors to try to facilitate him getting into his mobile carrier on game day. Is this correct?
Was Mike not outside in his habitat during game days last season?

You don't think Dave Baker hasn't heard this 10,000 times?
Just let it go.

Kind of fatigued and a little stiffness in my left shoulder.

Keep the him healthy and lively why make our majestic loved tiger endure stress and uncomforted over tradition?
He sure seemed to be healthy, lively, & stress free & comfortable from 2007-2013. Don't feed me that stress bullshite. The dude has to work 30 minutes for 8 days out of the year. That's four hours a year. They can get him in that cage & he will be fine for 30 minutes. This is the work of PETA trying to get him off campus.
I'm telling yall this is step 1. He's not going to make a single game this year.
Just don't be surprised after step 2 when Mike VI passes to never see a live tiger again.
And 15 years from now when you take your kids/grandkids to tiger stadium there will be a PITA headquarters where Mikes cage used to be. As you pass this PETA headquarters you're going to say, you know Billy (Billy is your future grandkid) that's where a real live tiger used to live. And little Billy's eyes are going to light up and gonna say "Wow! A real live tiger... What happened Grandpa?"
Then you will respond shamefully, "No one listened to whoisnickdoobs Billy. No one listened"
Do it for Billy guys. Do it for Billy.

Mike is very cool to have on Campus. Kids and adults enjoy seeing him. He is also the largest Mike, LSU has ever had because he is half Siberian Tiger. I don't blame him for not getting in that cage. He has been there done that and didn't like it very much.

Good God this is retarded.

I agree with the OP. Get Mike's behind in to the stadium. Then when he gets to the student section, have the costumed Mike bang on his cage and make him roar just like in the old days. This should be fun for the tiger. If I were a tiger I would tell the PETA people to leave my audience alone and let me entertain them.

I don't think they've ever heard him roar actually.

Does it really matter that much if the Tiger goes into a cage and gets driven around the stadium. Vet Med should do what is best for Mike, nothing more. Besides, how are you going to make a 500 lb tiger get into a cage.

doesn't matter to me at all. but, i would like see the OP get in the cage smelling like lady tiger urine and what mike does.

So take a tiger born in captivity out of his $3 million habitat and pit him.... in a zoo? On some wildlife preserve? On a boat to Africa?
I wish I lived like Mike.

No, I'm saying after our current tiger, Mike VI dies, PETA will do everything in their power for us not to have another tiger.

Apparently he has a sever case of PTSD cause by being in a trailer for 30 minutes.

Mike will get into his cage fine on a day to day basis.
He has just learned when it is game day by the activity and won't get in on those days.
I have friends that are highly upset that he will not get in the trailer on game day. I could care less, I think this is the best tiger we have had. He is very large and very active. I can remember bringing my kids to see previous Mike's and he either hid or laid around. The kids get so much enjoyment out of the current Mike.
I think it is far more important that visitors can go see Mike running around his cage playing most any day of the year than him getting in a trailer 7 or 8 times a year when hardly anyone can actually see him.
