This. It would be a "drop the mic" moment. Stating the obvious, but he would leave only if he loved the new situation.

Those saying the Pels are not farfetched since AD would be an obvious fit for him and vice versa.

Cal's not taking the job of a borderline playoff team in the smallest NBA market. That just isn't him. No matter how good AD will become.

IMO he'd be doing himself a disservice if he goes anywhere that he can't coach Lebron. He's been pretty vocal that he wants to coach him at some point (even if I think that's mostly a play at taking over Team USA when K steps away for good).

Is it really the smallest market? Smaller than Orlando, Salt Lake, OKC?

Last time I looked it is from a television market standpoint.

Memphis barely beats it by like 2 cities.

I wouldn't be shocked. It must mean Kentucky is about to go under

Pels fire Monty Williams and replace with Calipari. He is the coach with the best young player in the NBA.

Everyone claiming market when he has been a college coach in Kentucky. He is rich enough to go where he wants when he wants.

Calipari reminds me a lot of Pete Carroll as a coach. I thin he would be successful as long as he goes to a team with a good organizational structure in place.
