What's wrong with being a part of a group? I'm failing to understand the negative. I've met a lot of good people thru crossfit

What's wrong with geeks & non athletes working out?

I agree that being part of a group is important. I do the Beachbody workouts and, because you do them at home, you usually do them alone. Combine that with healthy eating that usually means you're cooking at home, and you kind of become a recluse.

Also, lots of the Beachbody programs don't really give you big gains. They just make you lean and fit. Finally, lots of the moves are rather complicated which makes it easy to cheat.

My point is you can find faults in almost everything. Nothing is perfect. The OP needs to ask himself would he be where he is today without Crossfit. If his answer is "No", then I don't see how he can call it a sham.
