You MUST be really old if you think there's a game today.

Back in my day if a pitcher ear holed a player on purpose he got his arse beat promptly after the game. Youngsters thinking a bat flip is lack of respect is a joke, especially in the same breath you talk of ear holing players. Neither are appropriate.

Haha he would have tried to whip arse. And your wording is mileading. I'm saying he earned the ear holet you don't show up a pitcher period and if you do well you lay the price and if you dId play ball back in the day you know that. Flip a bat yes. Flip it half way to first base like he did NO.

And for those that just have to feel satisfied with a response from Arkansas, I think they responded quite well Fri night with the final score.

Arkansas responded quite well by getting beat 16-3?

I don't care about down votes but obviously you do. It's not that I don't like having fun. It's not that I think he should have laid the bat fown said a prayer and promptly ran the bases. But to flip the bat as far as he did is unwarranted period. In my playing days as well as other generations you do that and expect retaliation. You don't show up the pitcher and the pitcher doesn't show up the batter after every strike out. It's called respect and acting like you been there before.

Thanks for your input Al Bundy.

The Foster bat flip was in response to the way Arkansas handled themselves Thursday. There was a lot of staring down from Arky's pitchers Thursday night while their 2 guys were pitching a gem. In other words, don't start none won't be none.

My thoughts when I saw the video. Wouldn't have bothered me at all if done by opponent. Everyone is still watching the ball flight anyway. He didn't stand there and wait until the ball cleared the fence to make sure everyone looked at him.

I always kept my prison shank in my sock in case I got ear holed. Gave the first baseman another belly button. But of course, it was Mexican minor league baseball. The real MLB

Someone else agrees with me are they no fun either?? You don't show up a pitcher period without payback coming quick.....in the good olé days

A payback pitch in today's times are now considered "bullying" instead of payback for acting an arse.

I have baseball w 2 kids every night of the week.

Typically, Fri night is game 1 for LSU.

I was unable to follow the series outside of the last 2 innings Sat.

Consequently, I had no idea which game this occurred and assumed it was game 1.

So I guess, those that require a response will just have to go unsatisfied.

and if you come high and tight, thats fine. But if in fact you do "Earhole" him, as in hit him in the head and neck area, your arse gets tossed and you start a literal head hunting contest.

Both sides have pitchers so lets loosen our panties a bit. They seem to be a little tight. And yes, I played back in the "Good (ole') Days".....

You must have played ball in an inner city league back in the day

And back in my day, you probably were in diapers. Pitchers didn't give a crap about such little crybaby things such as a bat flip. Ear holing players back in my day was not done. We had the brush back but that was it. Ear holing a player can cause permanent brain damage and anybody that practiced your theory was a tPOS and would have gotten his arse beat very badly.

Foster probably got carried away with his flip but it doesn't serve bodily harm and to think it does is fricking retarded

Ok I see your point. Let me clarify when I'm saying ear hole I mean just getting plunked. Yes I screwed that up being dramatic. But you do agree his bat flip was beyond reasonable standards which Is my initial point.
