2015 Honda Fit -vs- 2015 Ford Focus

Right now I'm choosing between these two. Which would be the better pick? Right now, I'm seriously leaning towards a Fit. The reviews are all stellar.
I want something dependable that will last 10+ years easy and gets great gas mileage. An over-sized truck is not on my radar.

Ford vs Honda. That's an easy choice.

I know zilch about cars but the fit looks nice on the interior. I'm just not sure I could deal with something that small. Yes, that is what she said.
Between the 2, Fit all the way. But I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Pretty much every review I have read says the Fit's biggest strength is how spacious it is especially for a subcompact.

I saw a couple at work a few days ago. Not sure I am buying the spacious interior.
Not knocking the car. It has more style and a nice interior than most subcompacts in that price range.
I probably will get a one when my current wheels die.

I just got a Ford Fusion with the 2.0 ecoboost. It's a blast to drive and gets great mpg (30 combined over 3k miles). It's a company car, but has nav and rear camera and they only gave 23k before ttl.
I chose that car over: Accord, camry, corolla, maxima, and whatever kia I was looking at.

Go to Hollingsworth and talk to Matt. He will help you get all the information you want on both. He was honest with my wife and actually told her to buy from the Honda dealership with another salesman because the civic was more fitting to her needs.
You're welcome.

My daughter drives a Mazda3. I bought it new from Hollingsworth Richards for 21k plus ttl and i like it more than the f150 I have.

I test drove a Focus (2014) for 1400 miles (rental) and it was great.
It was uneasy at times, but that's how I feel in most cars that aren't my own.
I don't know why, but I'm not sure it would go 10 years, but something I felt. I liked it at the time though and the gas mileage was awesome. Filled up twice from here to Florida, cost just $25 a tank (when it was ~$2something a gallon, so around a 15 gallon tank...and obviously the tank wasn't empty, usually quarter left)

In that case, I strongly suggest you avoid Ford products.
Check out the Corolla, Civic, and Fit.

My mom just got a new corolla and it's nice as frick. Leather, navi, back up cam, heated seats, push button start, etc. It's got a good bit of room too. I'd recommend it for a good mileage car

Wouldn't buy an American made economy car. American companies never cared about their economy cars when I was willing to buy them. I started buying Japanese cars in 1983 and haven't bought anything else since.
Have had a Nissan, a Mazda, Honda's a Toyota. Drove in Dallas in all of them except the Toyota. Always bought them with five speed transmissions so I could pull onto the freeway at a decent speed. Enjoyed driving the 1990 Honda CRX the most, but the 2004 Civic EX I had through 2011 was the second most fun to drive.
Driving a 2012 Camry with an automatic transmission now because I'm retired & no longer live in Dallas.

I was just watching some "Worst crash tests" video on YouTube(where the vehicle clips the driver fender into a stationary object) and let me just say... I'll never buy an Asian car again
Pretty much every vehicle shown was Asian. Even the Honda Pilot driver looked like he got destroyed, and I assumed that car would do better due to its size.

Focus has the better chassis and will be more fun to drive. I don't know how important that is to you but if I was stuck in an econobox I would want to try and have as much fun as possible.
What if I told you the Focus was developed in Germany? Because the latest Focus was developed in Germany.

What about that new Mazda CX5? They look really nice.
Out of those two, the Honda.
