Torina has been a great hire after the Bama coaches returned to Tuscaloosa. Her hiring of Dobson hitting coach has been the best hire she has made.
I know PM takes some criticism but the consistency of the program is remarkable in this day and age of less bats, 35 man rosters. If he would improve his decision makings within games especially at regional time he might win another title before he hangs it up.

I was skeptical at first, but Beth has been one of Alleva's best hires, if not the best. What she's doing at LSU hasn't gone unnoticed on a national level.
It won't be long before somebody tries to lure her away from us, so I hope that LSU will fight to keep her in that event.

If she wins a national championship or makes a strong run in a couple of world series and LSU rewards her there would be no reason to go anywhere else. If the Florida job opens could see her going home but we need to do what it takes tokeep her.

I rather be ranked #1 in June, not mid March. Still a long way to go and a lot can happen between now and then. It's a great start tho!

Honestly, there aren't many better jobs right now than LSU. The facilities and the new ball park are second to none. There are plenty of good recruits in this area, on top of the ones you need to get from California and Texas.
Also, she makes $135,000, which is pretty high for a softball coach. Alleva got her at a bargain because he was willing to pay Patrick Murphy $200,000 when he "hired" him. Point being that Alleva has the ability to go into his pocketbook and bump her salary if he needs to.
I think the only job she would ever leave here for would be Florida. Walton isn't exactly old and he figures to be there for a while…and also, I heard that Torina's parents have moved to Baton Rouge from Florida. It sounds to me like the family has set up shop in BR and is in it for the long haul…
