I am going to get one next week just to play around with. Was wondering others experiences.
For those who do not know, it's basically an iphone sized computer that sells for like 30 bucks.

There are quite a few things you can do with them, that being one of them.

I'm thinking about setting one up as a seedbox

I have an arduino, you can do some pretty cool stuff.

Its a computer.
You can put whatever you want on it, from Linux to Windows 10.

Both of the Pi's HDMI outlets went bad within about 2 months, and that's never having messed with either. Once I hooked em up, I left em there, and they still both went bad.

Hmmm. Do you know if that was a common problem?

I plan to buy one and use it for emulation. But I am interested in other possible things that people have done so far.
What all comes with that kit?

Everything you would ever need for anything you wanted to with a Pi. I am also getting one to make a small HTPC for my brother. Will just need a larger SD card then what comes in that kit.

Do you need a lot of what's in the kit to set up the emulators?
That touchscreen kit looks pretty awesome. Cheaper than I epxected, too.

That kit will have everything you need for the emulators.
Also, there are a lot of screen options. I also like this one because it doesn't need an extra power source and with the case you could make a portable console.

I figured it WOULD have everything needed to run the emulators. What I was getting at is how much from the kit is necessary for it?
I have a large box of electronic components that I have accumulated over the years, and I think I have a good bit of what comes with that kit. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth it to get the kit or just the Pi and use what I already have.

You could probably save a few bucks.
I think that case is like $10. It and the wireless USB adapter are the only things in that kit most people don't have laying around already, but the SD card comes preloaded with NOOBS which is the OS install manager for Pi. You could always set up your own SD card with it, but it might be worth the extra $25 that kit costs just to have everything ready that you need.

What sort of controller are you guys going with? I know there are tons of options.

Basically it's perfect for someone who has no idea what they want to build. Whatever you finally decide, will probably work with the raspberry pi and a few additional shields. If you are just doing automation stuff though, I would go with an arduino.
