Glad my friends are sane and appreciate it when I open the door for them. Feminists are another kind of crazy.

Good. I was getting tired of feeling guilty for not opening doors for fat girls.

If somebody is within a few paces from entering a door as I'm exiting - I hold it open. Young, old, male or female. Polite is polite.

Spin Off:
Do you shake hands with a woman differently than a man?
Growing up I was taught to shake a woman's hand with her palm down with and fingers slightly bent. Still firm but not squeezing her palm just her fingers.
Had a feminist literally start yelling at me once bc she was so angry that I shook her hand that way.

All you gotta say.
That's great!
Now what did you do with TIGRLEE?

When I was in Colorado I opened a door for an elderly lady that was in front me about to go into a store.
She smiled at me and thanked me and then asked if I was from the South. I told her yes and asked why do you ask?
She said she was from Alabama and that I was the first person in 3 years in Colorado to open a door for her besides her husband.

Should have caught her with the gorilla grip, folded her palm in half, gave an extra squeeze to remind her she only makes 70 cents on the dollar, scratch your balls with the other hand, then give her a semi-dirty Sanchez as you walked off.

It's only sexist to open the door for women if you ugly.

I don't hold the door open for women because they're inferior, I hold the door open because I think they're pretty and smell nice and want to do things with their vaginas.

Was at Epcot two weeks ago. Was getting off a ride late in the evening. We get off the ride and my son and I are ahead of a lady and her young son. My son goes through the gate and while I am going through the gate, the lady's son pushes through the gate beside me and starts up the ramp. I hold the gate open behind me and moved to the side so that the lady could catch up with her son. After she was through, I started to walk up the ramp. Meanwhile the lady says to her son, "I don't know why he did that, opening the door is stupid." I just let it go as I didn't want to get her the satisfaction. When I told Mrs. Tigerdeacon about it though, she, in typical Southern woman fashion, wanted to kick some yankee butt.

I hold the door for my gorgeous wife and beautiful strong capable daughters and they do get deserved cherished protection from me. Any feminazi that disapproves can go suck a fat dirty dildo.

Chivalry is sexist according to a new study.
That professor chick in that study is about as representative of women in general as say the most extreme OT'ers are representative of the population at large. Everything seems to be defined by the extremes these days.
Personally, I'll hold the door to a building or elevator open for either sex but I do tend to hold it for women (and children) who are a little farther away from the door than men.
Now, things like walking around a car to open the door for someone - I've only ever done that for my wife or for girls I was dating prior to meeting her. And after a few years of marriage I admit I only do it for special occasions - say if we're going on a "date" for an anniversary or her birthday.
Here's a question - are there women out there who resent it when the man does stuff like mow the lawn and trim trees, etc. (assuming of course he also pitches in inside the house )?
