What a stupid article. I hold doors almost everyday for "people." I don't see a dude coming and then say oh, and let the door swing shut in his face.

It's just street level decency.

Yeah study in Boston (north) where women don't encounter chivalry at all so when it does happen it's seen as a sexist thing. Come down to the south. Happens all over the place. Glad I live in the south

Offering my seat to a girl on the Tiger Trails in college always got the panties wet.

Glad my friends are sane and appreciate it when I open the door for them. Feminists are another kind of crazy.

Good. I was getting tired of feeling guilty for not opening doors for fat girls.

If somebody is within a few paces from entering a door as I'm exiting - I hold it open. Young, old, male or female. Polite is polite.

I don't hold the door open for women because they're inferior, I hold the door open because I think they're pretty and smell nice and want to do things with their vaginas.

I hold the door for my gorgeous wife and beautiful strong capable daughters and they do get deserved cherished protection from me. Any feminazi that disapproves can go suck a fat dirty dildo.

Chivalry is sexist according to a new study.

That professor chick in that study is about as representative of women in general as say the most extreme OT'ers are representative of the population at large. Everything seems to be defined by the extremes these days.

Personally, I'll hold the door to a building or elevator open for either sex but I do tend to hold it for women (and children) who are a little farther away from the door than men.

Now, things like walking around a car to open the door for someone - I've only ever done that for my wife or for girls I was dating prior to meeting her. And after a few years of marriage I admit I only do it for special occasions - say if we're going on a "date" for an anniversary or her birthday.

Here's a question - are there women out there who resent it when the man does stuff like mow the lawn and trim trees, etc. (assuming of course he also pitches in inside the house )?
