It's so cute watching them at the beginning of every season.

I'm a cubs hater, but they have some fricking legit bats and prospects. I'm still very skeptical on their pitching unless Theo plans to go buy it all.

The Bryant lovefest is comical. Last year, Springer was a top prospect with K issues. Good looking kid but will strike out alot. sort of playing him down.
But Bryant has the same K rate and doesn't have the ability to steal bases. Springer is an elite CF. Unfortunately, plays RF for now.
Springer > Bryant

So this is what they mean by Astrotard.

Bryant is 2 years younger than Springer, and it's going to take 600 less minor league AB's for him to make it to the majors.

Remember when prom was in one of these threads arguing about whether they would beat the Cubs in the central like two years after the Astros moved to the AL?

What?
The only lengthy discussion I've had about the Cubs and Astros was a Derek Lee/someone thread that went like 17 pages. Wayyyy back when.
No idea what you're talking about.
So, the justification of Bryant being a better prospect than Springer is because the number of AB in the minors? Is that all we got? ...and one is 24 and one is 26. At the same points in their career, the year before they're called up to the show, Springer was 3.9 years younger than AAA average while Bryant is 4.6. Really not so much a gap to be considered significant
and I have "full retard" and "AstrosTard" as why Bryant is so much better than Springer.
As far as numbers, you guys are going to seriously sit here and tell me that they are going to be that much of a difference between the two in their career?

no one ever addressed the K issue either.
If Springer has a problem, so does Bryant.

Difference is Bryant can hit to all fields better and has a lot more power than springer. Springer is a 25-30 he guy with a Chris carter like average and k rate.
Bryant is more of a Stanton type of power hitter with similar k rate but 35-40 hrs and a better chance to hit for average.

I'm not a cubs fan, fricktard. The prospects they have (mainly hitting) are pretty incredible. They won't all pan out, but I think it's a safe estimate to say 2-4 become mainstays and at least 1 becomes a super star.
