I also can't think of a player they have poached from a top club that said club really wanted to keep. To be fair Real, Barca, and Bayern (among Germans) are the only clubs who really do this but again, you were the one who made that comparison.
Like I said, it's year 3. You don't get to that level overnight. FFP also isn't helping but give it time.

We'll see I just don't see it happening unless France becomes more competitive as a league.
