Have fun. Be aware of your surroundings. Don't walk between places further than a block or two unless you have spoken with someone that knows the lay of the land. Don't just go off google maps. You could stay in the same neighborhood going from half a million dollar homes on one street to section 8 the next back to million dollar homes in a 5 minute walk.
You can rent my bike for the weekend for $30 if you want

If you're going to do any walking around your hotel stay on St Charles, or south of that. Don't go wandering north.
This big time. I had to rescue my little brother one Mardi gras when he got shitfaced and wandered away from his friends in that area. Some random stranger luckily propped him up on a building and called me from his phone. He was on the corner of Delachaise and Dryades. It was dark as frick, and not just because of the time of evening. Thank god for the good samaritan

Maybe a stupid question but are there any bars/clubs with VIP and bottle service? If anybody wants to turn up Friday night and just have a stupid night, I might be down to fund this.
I'm mean it is New Orleans right? Might as well get straight fricked.

If he stays between St Charles and Magazine he's good in that area, I live about 3 blocks from the Columns (on the good side)

Is Audubon park and zoo worth checking out?

Republic is your place for this.

Hopefully homeboy from Seattle is cool. He should have quite a fat wallet if I understand his position with Microsoft correctly.

There are, but NOLA really is not that kind of town. Metro and Republic, but those are the douchiest, saddest places on earth to me.
You want to go for different experiences IMO.
Sazerac Bar at the Roosevelt for fanciness.
Bouligny Tavern for craft cocktails.
Barrell Proof for whiskey.
Columns has a great bar imo.
Gold Mine, The Saint, F&M's, Grits for more dirty experiences.
One of my personal favorite NOLA experiences is Bacchanal. Wine bar in the bywater with a huge backyard. Get a bottle inside, order some food out back, sit outside on a nice night and watch a cool jazz band play. LOTS of pussy. But that is more of a date place imo.

My go-to spot there is Cajun Mikes, but the last couple years they changed bartenders and it has went downhill.
Hooked up with an Indian (feather) couple weeks back at Chuck's

100% agree with this. If I had to recommend only one place in New Orleans, this would be it.

Bacchanal is probably my wife's favorite place. Great spot, especially in the spring and fall. Not as much in the Summer.
There are lots of good date spots, and Bacchanal is crawling with women all getting together.
But yeah, NOLA is not a "bottle service" city, although you can get it if you want.
Its much more of a either 1)Craft Cocktail type bar (Cure, Tonique, Bouligny Tavern, Treo, Sazerac) or 2) Hole in the wall bar
Type of city
