Has anyone questioned why his partner is literally just standing there not assisting whatsoever? One would think if the kid pushed his partner violently in the chest the guy might try to help out. However, I have no police experience, just common sense

It really does get old. You would think he would eventually realize that it just makes him look moronic but nope, maybe one day

So if that's true, Becker definitely had to know Breaux was a cop, right?
How? I highly doubt the UC saw illegal activity then went yelling for the uniforms to show up.

Being open to the possibility that this kid isn't a saint and the cops may not have fricked up as bad as the bashers on here claim gets old?
Cry me a river.

The guy I was responding to said Becker and friends started yelling "frick the cops" because one of their friends was being arrested for smoking weed. He said the undercover cops busted the friend and then called in uniformed deputies for transport.
If this is true, it seems that Becker must be lying about not knowing Breaux was a cop.

Let's bet something .
I say he gets some money.
Not much, though.

Gotcha, and re-reading his post closer, I think that's what he was also saying. My mistake.
But the kid is still a dumbfrick!

I don't disagree, and I think the general consensus is the kid deserved to be arrested, and I'll even give the cop the toss to the ground to gain control, but not the 5 or so punches to the face.

Yeah. That's what I was trying to say.

No. You've mentioned going there in a previous conversation.

Deserved to be arrested for what? If you believe inciting a riot then okay I'll take your word for it. Can't be for anything else. Must be an arrestable offense to be arrested, which also must happen before someone is able to resist arrest.

You can take one look at that kid and tell he is a douchebag
Let me guess...you don't think cops profile?

Which brings up another question, if uniformed cops are making the drug arrests, what are the undercovers there for? MIPs?
Undercover makes the stop, and calls in a uniform to process. If no uniform is available they get lucky and get away with a summons. Those dudes ain't leaving their beat for a joint or a little bit of pot.
Though the easiest way to not get in these situations is to show respect. It really does work. Be friendly, honest (or lie with conviction and believe what you say) and direct. Look at their forehead right above the eyes the entire time, they like eye contact but I know it can be hard in the situation so look above the eyes. Don't put your hands in your pockets or squirm or move too much. Just chat, answer questions and cooperate. If you do this right, it always works out better than if you don't. I can think of three times when JPSO has gone easy on me. Hell I could of got a dui one night a decade ago instead of a 'wrong way on a one way ticket". (leaving that crap strip club on causeway)
Honestly thinking, In my experience JPSO and BRPD have been the most lenient I have ever seen if you don't act like a shite head. I would rather JPSO than any other police force in the state. Still in this instance, a little extreme.
If you act like a shite head, you get roughed up. So don't act like a shite head.
Anyone here went to Rummel in the mid nineties with Arthur from Lebanon? He died in OPP after getting beat up. He supposedly "fell from his cell". Arthur was into bad things... A nice guy IMO, but a High level guy none the less. Don't know the particulars. If you went to school at that time you knew his Korean friend Wally, that dude got 12 staples in his head from a beat down with DEA. (He later O'd, sad.
Both rich arse kids, Rummel - Tulane... Got caught up in the life.
Just don't mouth off.
Unless... They come in your house without a warrant, then lie and say they don't need one, new law. Then find your stash. Then get you to sign a paper giving consent because they lied and said they would bring your girlfriend to jail; in that case mouth off.
That was the most fricked up shite I have ever seen in my life. I wouldn't of believed it if I hadn't been there.

Double D's? What an awful place...
An old friend of mine knew another guy who was familiar with a person who worked at the gay bar, Angles, next door. That person also had a little side job selling coke, so on occasion, I would find myself in that neighborhood during the wee hours of the morning.
Good times, bad times...

Couldn't remember the name. We got kicked out because I answered the phone and this ugly arse pimple faced stripper swore we took pictures with a phone, when none of us even had a camera phone (they had just come out the year before). Leaving it's one way away from Causeway, well I went the wrong way.. pulled over.
Ticket.
No breathalyzer. I had two cocktails in the last hour. Not sure if I was over, but IMO it's the closest I've come.

The description of the girl sounds like Double Ds! On the I-10 Service Rd, Riverside/N.O. corner off the (old) Causeway interchange.
