Bunch of retards on this board.
It happened in Interstate 45 southbound, beginning about a mile north of exit 190 to Huntsville State Park. It's another mile before an entrance ramp to IH45 comes up and so before everyone starts yapping about merging traffic, why not see if that is the case? Google/Bing/etc is your friend. I mean it isn't like that big brown sign doesn't say anything
Trucker in the left lane had a right to be there and did nothing wrong. Video begins with the truck in the right lane coming up so he obviously was in the left lane to pass it. it is very hilly in that area and to maintain speed, it is necessary to do what the trucker was doing. The left lane trucker was a safe distance from the small blue truck in its lane, seemingly matching its speed. Once the Altima merged, the safe gap disappeared just before the crest of the hill. It was into this gap that the VW merged. The gap was NOT big enough to have accommodated that VW and it was the VW that was tailgating as soon as it merged. It appears the trucker started to speed up in anticipation of passing the right-lane truck once the vehicle in front of the blue truck moved over and the blue truck could speed up. If anything, it was the car ahead of the blue truck that was the problem, but it was the actions of the Altima and VW merging in front of the left lane truck that created the accident. See the Altima change lanes twice after the accident? The VW was doing the same- zip, zip, zip. IH45 is full of asshat drivers from Houston to Dallas, and blaming the left lane trucker shows how utterly retarded many on this board really are.

If it is a very hilly area, trucks need to stay in the right lane and not impede traffic by trying to "maintain their speed" to save themselves gas money. Impeding traffic causes more accidents than speeding and should be ticketed just as severely as speeding.
Lady definitely was at fault, truckers do the same shite with late merging all the time though to "maintain their speed."
