I'm a City fan and I think FFP is probably one of the better things to happen to the sport.
Would you have agreed with this 8 years ago??
I kind of have mixed feelings about it... I should like it, but I'm not thoroughly convinced..
edit: all that said, it is in place and I'm not that bothered by it..

If it were just a rule about adding debt to a club that would be fine. Nobody wants to see clubs go into administration. But if I'm an owner and I have 20 million lying around that I want to use on a striker instead of another yacht, why shouldn't I be allowed to pay cash for that transfer?

Hard to say if I would have agreed with it eight years ago. I think City then could have found success, obviously not as fast as they actually did. But it would have been a process that I think they could have figured out with multiple years of the rules in play.
One question I have is, for teams like Wolfsburg, which are owned by Volkswagon, or a corporation, how easy is it for them to funnel money into club and make it look like it came from revenues, compared to say an BPL side who has one majority individual owner? I'm assuming the auditors for FFP are pretty good, but could that happen?
