Randy is right.

Something just mentally seems off with this team.

Cool response.
So generic.

You can check the edit, your post was barely worth responding to but I did anyway.
I like how you criticize the response to "lol that's dumb". Sorry I wasn't originally as groundbreaking and insightful as you.

Oh I'm totally fine that we were pressing at the end. It's not AW's fault Ox couldn't keep the ball and didn't track his runner, Kosc dive in stupidly, and Ospina was lead footed.
I don't put this tactically on Wenger other than I'd have started Theo (and I said so before the match).

But he put his team in position to be undone by one give away in the midfield.

I didn't force you to respond, but I wasn't entirely sure how to answer your claim about the pressing being irresponsible. Sure, hindsight is 20/20, but I would wager heavily that most managers in that situation would have kept pressing too.
If Arsenal were away in that game, sure. Get that away goal, sit on 2-1, and take that to the Emirates. But not in the reverse.

This is rich considering your posts were sarcastic and laced with indignation.

And the two previous goals required a more attacking mindset.
It's not as if Arsenal came out of the gates like that. The game's unfolding required him to change tactics late on.

This team is never mentally prepared for big games. They play below themselves. Find me a team with more marquee names who plays this poorly and acts so uninterested and unmotivated when it comes time to act like an elite team.

Not sure how it's Wenger's fault when the goals are a lucky deflection, Mert being waaay out of position, and a fortunate off-the-post breakaway when we were obviously pressing.
He's the one that selects the team. He's the one that continues to put per out there when you have two other options on the bench. I think he's a great coach, but something has been wrong with this club for a while. Like another poster said. Needs a culture change. This happens year after year. And really we got bossed by palace over the weekend.

All of those goals were counter attacking goals. This was a repeat of the drubbing at the hands of Liverpool last year. Arsene hasn't learned. He hasn't trained Per to hold position. The attack let us down, for sure, with our wings both coming too narrow and no one able to finish. But to be exposed that badly, and repeatedly on defense is inexcusable. That falls squarely on Arsene. We've been here before and his failure to change tactics, to not play a high line against speedy counter attacking sides, is so amateurish that it's sad. I believe that there are other managers out there who would get more from this team.

Arsenal has got to switch it up after this season.
I just don't see any other option. Even if they make top 4, its just been the same old crap for them.

I get what you're saying, but I feel the games from last year (Liverpool, City, etc.) and those tactics were different.
This year, Arsene has changed his tactics in those games (see City away and Spurs away) this year. We didn't attack or hold a high line, we sat in. I don't think we needed to do that in this game.
We played horribly, undeniably, but we were extremely unlucky (or shite, depending on your perspective). Missed two easy sitters and Monaco had a long range deflected goal. Those things go our way and not Monaco's, it's our game. Sucks, and we could have played much better, but I don't think Arsene got the tactics wrong.
Just my view on it

You didn't think Arsene played the tactics wrong in pushing Gibbs and Bellerin as far up as possible and leaving Per isolated at midfield against speedy counterattackers?

At least Arsene's favorite club won the match #amiright
But in all seriousness, as bad as that was, I still think Arsenal can come out of this. Not counting them out just yet.

When in the game are you referring?
At the end? The second goal?

Monaco came out ready to play

Seriously though, you got a lifeline with that Ox goal. They had almost hit you on that same counter two times in the previous 7-8 min. A third away goal is virtually a death sentence.
Count your losses and try to make a go of it in Monaco. Now, you're dealing in the realm of miracles.
Yeah, Monaco did look just as likely, if not more likely, to score off the desperate pressure as Arsenal in the last 10 minutes.
It was actually a better chance when Carrasco didn't play the ball to Silva a few minutes before on an almost carbon copy breakaway.
I still think Arsenal has an outside chance just because there's so often a mental letdown when a team goes out to protect a big lead.
However, Monaco, like a lot of Ligue 1 teams, can be pretty tough to break down.
