UL baseball, did they lose that many seniors?

Louisiana had a lineup of gang busters last year. We have a series with them in a few weeks so I wanted to check out where they're ranked and I was surprised to see that they are not. It would appear LSU has taken the top spot in the state back. What kind of season are the Cajuns expecting?

According to baseball-reference they had seven guys get drafted, although I'm not sure if they all signed.
ETA: After looking at their roster it looks like all these guys that were drafted are gone and they lost a good bit.
7th Round....... Seth Harrison (CF)- Tied for RBI leader and 3rd in HRs
10th Round..... Caleb Adams (LF)-Leading hitter (AVG and HR)
13th Round..... Jace Conrad (2B)-Two hole and second leading hitter (AVG) tied for most RBIs and 3rd in HRs
18th Round..... Austin Robichaux (RHP)-Started game one of the super regional vs Ole Miss
21st Round..... Ryan Leonards (3B)-Leadoff hitter
33rd Round..... Carson Baranik (RHP)-Started game two of the super regional vs Ole Miss
37th Round..... Matt Plitt (RHP)- Closer

Six juniors left early, 8 seniors graduated. Last years weekend rotation is gone and only 3 position players return. Pitching looks weak early. We're probably still good enough to win the Sunbelt with between 30-40 wins and get sent to a regional somewhere.

Have fun in that LSU regional

Pitching, or lack of, appears to be hurting us more than a lack of hitting.
Young team. We can't just reload every year like SEC contenders. We'll see how these guys mature over the next few games.

Sounds like LSU baseball as of late to be honest

They hit lightning in a bottle last year.
Hard for a Sun Belt roster to simply reload every year - depth was always going to be an issue.

UL has some great young talent. Fontenot should have been recruited by LSU.

We have a lot of talented young guys. Evan Guillory struck out 7 over 5 innings while only surrendering 1 unearned run in his first ever start. It's just going to take a while to figure out who can fill out the rotation. We can still hit.
We also signed the two best pitchers in the state for next year but they're serious draft threats, especially Hogan Harris who's touching 94 mph on his fastball as a high school lefty.

Back? You serious, Clark? We were never dethroned. One decent year that led to a Super Regional for them won't do that.

Your flagship was the top dawg last year. Just deal with it. LSU has a better team this year.

Your hook is too shiny

ETA: ULL's average of 39-22 isn't too mediocre either.

they were all set for Omaha last year. They got to host a regional and super, they even got the biggest chokers in history as their ticket to omaha and they blew it.

If that is "Top Dawg" then I did a fine job dealing with it haha.

ULL has never, and probably will never, surpass LSU as the top program in the state.
The only program to pass LSU as the top program in the State was Tulane from 2001-2005. ULL hasn't come close to that.
