I don't think Patterson's absence has been discussed enough.

They didn't have Patterson which hurt their already minimal depth and they also missed the calming effect he brings to the offense.

I'm just worried because South predicted us to win. LSU is 5-0 on the road as a dog but South is 0-5 in his predictions.
Eta my bad he's 1-4. But 3-6 overall in the SEC.

Maybe he shouldn't have done a preview then since there wasn't one for the Tennessee game and we played our best half of the season.

I'll be honest, the past few years I've been pretty damn good picking games. I predicted the exact score twice last year and twice the year before. This year has been really bad. Everytime I think the team turned the corner they go and blow it. Just don't be too superstitious on my picks. They aren't worth putting much stock in.

Thanks for the preview!

Awesome! May have to look you up. Is Lupe's a good place in College Station?

While the Texas vs Oklahoma will rightfully get most of the excitement for tonight's games, LSU @ aTm may be the best game on tonight. KenPom has it as the highest FanMatch "Thrill Score" and CBS listed it as the second most interesting game to watch tonight.
I am getting really excited for this one.

Won't be watching this time. Bed time is 8:30. Ha

Good fajitas -- little pricey, but this location has the small size (1/4 pound) instead of only 1/2 and full. Margaritas are good. Happy hour from 5-6:30. I used to go here once a week when I was living in CS, so I'm going there before the game.

I'm just giving you shite
but you do know if this trend continues, you are not allowed to make a prediction in our NCAA tourney threads, right?

LSU needs to pound A&M into oblivion.

I've watched a lot of WVU basketball this year. Glad we were able to beat them. They are playing in an absolutely stacked conference and still winning a lot of games.
I honestly feel that on any given night LSU could beat any team in the country. Makes me very excited about the prospects of making the tournament. We could beat anyone. Just have to get in...

LSU moved up 2 spots to 48 in RPI. A win today and we might be top 40 again.

I really like the way LSU is trending up in the KenPom rankings. His rankings are generally a very good indicator of potential success in the NCAAT. For example: Tenn was an 11 seed and had to play in the play-in game just to get into the field of 64. However, they were ranked much higher by Ken Pom than their record and seed indicated. What happened in March? UT made a run to the Sweet 16 and damn near made it to the Elite 8.
In 2006 LSU was a 4 seed in the tournament, but ranked in the top 8 (I think) of the Ken Pom rankings. We all know what happened in March of that year.
Like you said, if this team can just find its way in, they might have a chance to make some noise

Our SOS will definitely improve over the next 3 weeks. Hopefully we can get the RPI into the 30's. I'd feel very comfortable then.

I'm going with your observations this go around, SoS. I do think that this team turned the corner in the 2nd half of the UK game, and they'll continue to prove this tonight.
Somebody name a team that was down double digits in the 2nd half to UK this season and came back to take the lead...anyone?

Don't forget about UMass either. Right now, that's a top-50 win (and a dominant one at that)

I'm quite honestly shocked that they have made the push they have lately. 9-3 in conference has them tied with 3 others for the lead in the A10... They play on the road against two of those teams this week so they will be a team who could push themselves into NCAA Tournament contention with a great week.
