Would love to see the capital of ISIS carpet-bombed by every B-52 and B-1 in our arsenal (at one time). Follow up by warthogs and artillery. Rolling Thunder, Vol 2.

Can you explain the benefit of troops on the ground to me?

For that to be effective we need to know where isis is, there need to be large numbers of isis members identifiable so that we may engage.

Otherwise we have troops getting sneak attacked while running convoys to nowhere with ieds and random attacks then disappearing again.

Airstrikes and Intel will work just fine for now

I tend to agree, but not the types of airstrikes we are doing now. For this to work we are going to have to not care if civilians are killed or what the rest of the world thinks. ISIS is so intentionally evil and such an immediate threat to a modern civilized world that this will truly have to be an "us v. them" campaign. You are with us or against us. If ISIS is in your town in large numbers and you have not driven them out or fled, your town is getting destroyed. The "good guys" in Syria and Iraq have had their chance to do something about these invaders and they have failed.

We could end this in a day if we used nuclear weapons but nobody in Washington has the balls to do it.

That's a net positive for Isis

The Italian side of the Sigonella airbase looks like it should be condemned.

There will have to be something massive done by ISIL that triggers the world to act

Meh. If rebels backed by Russia can shoot down a commercial airline and have nothing happen to them then how massive are we talking here?

Bahrain and UAE have fighter squadrons taking part in the ISIS air strikes. Saudi Arabia is funding and arming anti-ISIS tribes outside of its borders for now.

Looking at the map of "ISIS around the world" they have a presence in 20 something countries.

With that kind of volume 1 of 2 things are true, either Islam needs to be irradicated as its a violent religion or our presence and that thought process only creates more radicalism. While playing under Pussification rules of engagement we have already created a lot of new enemies. What would killing any and everything over there do?

You're a moron if you think ISIS justifies using nuclear weapons.

Most of the world will not participate. They'll make statements against ISIL, let the US do all the work, and then sit back and complain about the US being a "world police."

After that, they'll go to the UN and complain when the USA doesn't come and fix all of their problems for them

Screw isis.

You should seriously be concerned with russia and what china is doing in the straight with japan

We will see WW3 soon and isis will be an afterthought.

Seems hypocritical because its Saudi Arabia's fault that groups like ISIS exist.

Lot of dumbass comments in here. Par for the course.

France scared to fight wars? Check.

Nuclear weapons needed? Check.

"Irradicate" Islam? Check.

All of these countries that are doing this seem to have ignored radical islam for a while thinking it was either not an issue, too sensitive of an issue, or someone else's issue. Now those savages are attacking their people in their countries, and executing prisoners from their countries. I would imagine that they will have enough sooner than later. People will only put up with so much before a spark is lit.

In a way yes. They are taking over towns and hiding out there with civilians around them. And they do that so people won't bomb the areas or start firefights.

Not used to thinking of France and military action in the same line of thought .
I think comments like this are funny and completely ignorant. The past 100 years of 2 negligent military campaigns, overshadows a few hundred years of complete military domination?
