I didn't hate Austin, but when I visited, I was underwhelmed.
The job market is similar to other semi-desirable places with a massive university pumping out cheap new grads every year.
I certainly don't think it's a bad town at all, I just think that, professionally, Houston or Dallas are probably much better for most people.

Love CP and Austin!
Work near 2222/360. That traffic does suck, but not worse than I10 in BR, IMO.

Who else is running the Spartan race in May in Austin? It's actually out at Reveille Peak Ranch near Burnet/Lake Buchanon. Should be a lot of fun.

It depends on what field you are in. Houston is one of the biggest cities in the country, so of course it may have more jobs available.
