In a bar, sure. At Chimes East, which is a massive 2-story restaurant, there's no way that would work.

Same for the monitors, which I actually think is a great idea for bars.

Chimes East either has to print menus every day or utilize this beer website.
I'm sure they talked it over and ultimately decided it was a good decision. The people who care enough to take their time going through the menu are probably younger and more tech savvy. How often do you see a 70 year old with a flip phone who is a maven?

Menu or not, someone who wants to try beer but knows very little about it, will almost always go with whatever their server recommends. So as long as your staff has a few go-to recs on hand, you're fine with those who don't have smartphones/data.
