Go away forever.

For however many years Dickie V has been an analyst, he has been the most-prepared for his job game after game. And not just for CBB - for all broadcast sports. Plus, his enthusiasm even surpasses his preparedness.

That's awesome. You should go ahead and start your own thread about how you don't watch college hoops. I'd read it for sure!

How is the a bad thing? Dick Vitale always brings enthusiasm to the broadcast. He will speak glowingly of the LSU program. He makes big games and close games MUCH more exciting to watch. Is he over the top? Sure, but when the home team is winning and he's going nuts, it's a lot of fun to watch.

Hes a little over the top but hes earned his chops. He is however much easier to tolerate when we're winning.

Anybody else remember the "home cooking" rant in 86 by Dick? Daddy Dale was pissed! I cant stand his Shtick, he buggs the crap out of me. I'll take Hawthorne over him every time. I loved the grief the student section gave him when he came to the Assembly Center back then.

Say what you will about the man but if one of the Tigers' happen to have a great game, Vitale will tout their virtues to doomsday. When he called Shag's game against the mighty Arizona Wildcats in '91, Oneal was destined to be the national player of the year. Dickie had him crowned as the best player in America by halftime.
