Vietnam never had a military objective in the sense of WWII not stopping until the Germany and Japan were seized, done and surrendered.

To put the blame squarely on Islam is a bit short-sighted. These people have sick and twisted on their views of Islam. They represent a small percentage of all Muslims, but unfortunately, their voices are greatly magnified because of their actions.
They are playing the terror card way to broadly and are going to get bit in the arse when the world wakes the frick up and really starts to combat these guys.

I won't pretend to have all the answers but something needs to change. Our current policy to combat ISIS is about the same as lobbing pallets of money at them. Hugely inefficient. Very little return (dead terrorists) on investment.
