only able to make it about 1/3 of the way through the new Road To Berlin exhibit
Why? Is it long or too emotional?

Really? I thought it was cloudy for some reason. This is good because a lot of my plans are outdoors
well partly cloudy in the 60's not rain though.
Rain is supposed to be here Sunday

Peche is very casual. What do you mean by NOLA-ee?

That place looks more like what we're looking for.
Are Peche and this place pretty close to the museum?
And that American Sector looks pretty cool too, but might wanna get away from the museum to switch it up. Looks like an awesome place to grab a milkshake though. I'm thinking maybe visit, go have lunch, come back and visit and then a milkshake later.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I don't go to NOLA much.

WWII Museum = Best place to visit when going to NOLA, IMO

I went 4 times when it was DDay, but this will be first visit since it changed. I'm so excited I can hardly think.

Yes. Some of the closest restaurants to the museum.
Cochon, Cochon Butcher, and Peche are your best three bets.
I actually got asked to go to Peche for lunch tomorrow too, but I'm going for an early dinner already.

anywhere you wanna go is only going to be a short walk or a short cab/pedi cab ride away.

I got there an hour before closing on Saturday... then only had time for another hour on Sunday morning.
I try to read/study/analyze every bit of information. I don't like to move too fast b/c I don't want to miss anything.

Good question, I'm not really sure. She's not a super seafood freak. She's the one that was planning it and told me last night, was supposed to be a surprise. I just know we won't be real dressy, and she would love a place where it was local and not chain. She doesn't eat a lot of poboys. I know she likes appetizers, calzones, pasta, stuff like that.

Everybody eats sandwiches. Go to Butcher.

So you haven't been since they built the Boeing Center? That place is insane... actual WWII aircraft all over the ceiling.

Then no reason why you shouldn't choose Peche
It is seafood.. they thrive on small plates/appetizers.. they are casual.. they are local.. they've won awards..
Cochon is also a lot of small plates, but it is charcuterie type items. Although their oysters are out of this world.
Butcher is delicious sandwiches. I hear the Gambino is what to get. I haven't had it.
WHATEVER YOU DO.. These are all Link restaurants, so get your arse an order of brussel sprouts. The sprouts at Link joints are amazing.
