Could missing Jrue be

One of the best things that has happened to this team 55 assist in our last two games. If this trend continues once Jrue returns we will be a legit team. Reke has back to back 12 Assist games (I believe). I understand he is trying to be more of a facilitator without Jrue out there, but will this start a trickle down effect?

I love Reke playing point. He just makes things happen and isn't afraid to lob the ball up to AD. The one thing I really miss about Jrue is his defense. Other than that it's Reke > Jrue all day for me.

"As long as were winning the game and everybody is having fun, it doesn't matter to me," Evans said of his statistical line, which included a below-average six points. "I could have easily penetrated and got to the rim, but I'd seen guys open and I was looking to find guys."
Well I miss his defense as well, but I am interested in seeing if there is a carryover once he returns.

I think it probably has to do with getting Gordon back and trading Rivers for Pondexter. QPon isn't afraid to speak up about ball-stopping and Gordon is the most willing passer in our backcourt. It's contagious.

Pass to Babbitt, defender closes out, Babbitt pump fakes, passes the ball, 10 seconds wasted.
Pass to Salmons, misses wide open shot, possession over.
Pass to Cunningham, passes or high quality shot goes up.
Pass to Pondexter, he does something be it a pass, a dribble drive, or a shot. Less effective than Cunningham, but more versatile so in some ways more of a threat.
I think what has changed recently is a bit more than Jrue missing time. Having both Cunningham and Pondexter helps quite a bit on both sides of the ball. The team is no longer playing 4 on 5 as often.

Depends on the day. He's certainly playing much better lately, but he seems to have repressed Tyrec. Does Tyrec reappear at some point? Good Tyreke > Jrue, but Jrue >>>>> Tyrec. I'm going to give it some time before I crown Tyreke, but he's trending in the right direction. That said, I still like Jrue.

Yea its been pretty refreshing. It started with getting DC then EG came back was sluggish his first two or so back. However with him waiting for his shot instead of forcing it has been a real difference maker. Getting QPon gives us alot of heart and emotion with a vet that has been to the playoffs every year in the NBA.

Ill say that i think Tyreke needs to find balance still. Last night, he was passing all over the place. Id like him to get more than 6 shots a game.

I didn't understand that unit, why was he out there.

I somewhat agree, but I think him only taking 6 shots last night was a good thing. He's getting a better feel for the game at the point and knew he didn't need to force it last night. Esp with the way everyone else was shooting.

Knock off the rust in case we ever have to use him in a meaningful game.

For the love of Jah, knock it off with trying to push the "Tyrec" nickname. No one finds it amusing.

Monty throwing an old vet a bone against a team we should beat handily is my guess. Also, Philly is young and athletic, Babbit would get killed out there (although he'd have made up for it by nailing the 2 shots Salmons didn't).

Pretty sure you don't speak for humanity, no matter how much you think you do.

Flamethrower nickname > Tyrec nickname
And Flamethrower as a nickname is fricking stupid, Dave and Joel.

To me, a good bit of the ball movement has been involving Davis more in the middle of the floor. He is LeBronish in that he makes the "right" play with the ball most of the time.
He was swinging the ball to an open man on the wing, passing up jumpers to find Asik down low, etc. When your MVP, super duper star is playing like that, it's contagious. And the Sixers, despite their talent, have a decent defense.
Some of the credit also has to go to Gordon. He really started finding Davis in ways we weren't used to seeing from Holiday/Evans.

He was doing that early in the year before his injury, as well. He just seems to find passing lanes better than anyone else in the back court. Another thing that Gordon does well is pass the ball in a way that sets players up for a shot. On pocket passes, he usually passes the ball to an open spot in front of AD making for a very well-balanced catch-and-shoot.
