even if that were true, which I don't believe it is, why don't you see that as being a problem? Why all this complexity with no apparent advantages but plenty of obvious disadvantages to it.

To be perfectly honest, I've gone back and forth about which offense I'd ideally like to see us run. I think it's a matter of having a consistently very good offense regardless of personnel or having an unstoppable offense with the proper personnel.

At LSU, we shouldn't ever have to worry about a shortage of talent, so I tend to favor the offense with the higher ceiling... It's also a feather in the cap that the system we run is better at preparing our guys for the next level.

Good lord, now we've moved on to the excuse that our O is hard to learn.

Most college offenses aren't complex. NCAA rules limit practice time and coaches know that they can't install NFL-type offenses with all the wrinkles. Most of these kids don't have the ability to play in the NFL, so coaches water down the offenses to keep them generally understandable.

If anyone watching our O this year thinks it was overly complex, they're just delusional and looking for more excuses for our horrid QB play.

Now, I'll acknowledge that the O Cam WANTS to run may be complex, but the stuff we saw this year wasn't complex at all. Anybody arguing otherwise is just searching really hard for another excuse.
