I'm looking at the S&W Bodyguard or the Ruger LCP. Any pros and cons to pass along? Which one is an easier to conceal? TIA

i have the lcp. i tend to carry it because it is smaller than any of the others i have. i have the belt clip on mine. I like being able to clip it in my waistband when i go jogging or running. Easy to conceal in any pocket.
Negative, long trigger pull.

I would suggest the Kahr CW380. It's priced about the same as the LCP but has a much better trigger and decent sights. Look it up.

In before the "Go get a G19."
I'd worry more about which one you can actually shoot better.
Both are POS.
IOW go get a G19.

We have found more folks find the 380 Bodyguard more comfortable compared to holding the LCP, the finger groove on the Bodyguard seems to be the biggest preference b/n the two otherwise almost identical size, shape.

I am in the market for a CC .45. Mostly, due to commonality of ammo with my other guns. Am I making too big a deal of that & if so, what would you rec? I want something I can carry every day and worry about the weight/bulk of the .45s I have handled.

Will be my next gun. You can find them for $299 free shipping some places. Awesome value.

I have a LCP, long trigger pull is lame, but I got the viridian green laser on it with the holster that turns the laser off automatically and doesn't leave a gun shape in your pocket. It's a pretty good easy carry weapon.
Think Ruger is doing a free mag and 20 rounds. You can find the green laser version for under 300 pretty easily.

I have had an LCP for some time. Have an LC9 and love it so bought it by default. It's a poor gun. Wife got a

Crucial. Also a close second is which one is more comfortable to carry FOR YOU. All the other stuff like trigger pull, sights, etc. only really matter if you plan on spending a lot of time with it on the range. If you have to use a carry weapon more than likely its going to be a fast pull point shoot scenario at about 3-10 feet from your target. Get the one that is most comfortable for you to use and carry then practice retrieving and firing quickly, safely and accurately.

XDs is the only CC .45 option I would consider.

Is there no danger of a ricochet from that close?

My wife has a bodyguard and all I can say is the trigger pull sucks. It is nice to put in a pocket though.

Bought bodyguard at Cabelas about a month ago. I was on mission to buy LCP but the guy said to look at the Bidyguard and they were running a special on it for $329 with laser. It is a much better balanced gun, slightly bigger and thicker than LCP.
The trigger pull is too heavy is my only complaint but that can be addressed. Fits in pocket well and has a true safety on it which I like when it's pointed around my goods.

They had both guns in. The SW was a better fit for me (handled both) and I paid $329 for a $450-500 gun. I was pumped
