Pretty nice showing on National Television tonight.

Nope. It has already been decided that Johnny Jones can't coach. Great recruiter though.

21-20 in his 1st 3 years of conference play. Only winning record out of ALL previous LSU coaches.

Most definitely. All those people who said he can't coach in game have no idea what Coach Jones is thinking or doing, especially as he tries to prepare this team for a tournament run.
Tonight they showed that they can run an offense and play solid defense. It also shows Jones has the brain power to run offensive sets to get the guys open for good looks.
In the Dale Brown years, normally it wouldn't be until tournament time until his team would run an offense like Jones guys did tonight.
Hey, they still are going to have some bad games. What's important now is they know they can put together a good looking offensive set and play solid defense.

JJ made some great adjustments.
1. Don't take the first look that you think is good. Pass until we get the best possible shot.
2. Don't go after the goddamn block every possession. Play team defense and rebound the ball.
3. Play under control. Make crisp passes. Gray didn't do that and got benched

I criticized him after last game. I give him a lot of credit tonight. Looked more engaged on the sideline. Found the right combination of players on the court at the right times. Finally called a timeout before a tv break. Great win on the road.

He does from me though Ive been on his bandwagon since the very beginning of his hire.

CJJ did well tonight. He called A couple of timely timeouts. Had the kids attacking on both O and D. Interior D was bad in first half but better in second half.

He sat Gray most of the night... That's why the Tigers won.

After losing to one of the worst teams in the league (Tammy) at home, I'll reserve judgement beyond a win on the road against an average at best UF team.
Now, a win over Vandy on Saturday will go a long way towards making up for that Tammy game.
Maybe then.

I mean of all games to praise the man, you really can't choose this one. We score 20 more points then then in transition. However the half court offense was better. We got it down low and forced fouls.

He is gonna be an absolute Genius with Simmons and Blakeney next year

Yes, they looked like a totally different team tonight. Thank you Coach Jones for allowing Tim Quarterman and Jaylen Patterson to bring consistency to the offense.

Once he settles on Quarterman as Point Guard, it will be obvious that he can.

These are the two guys that help the other three be the best they can be.
