He led us to an 18 point win at Florida. Pretty damn impressive.

JJ made some great adjustments.

1. Don't take the first look that you think is good. Pass until we get the best possible shot.
2. Don't go after the goddamn block every possession. Play team defense and rebound the ball.
3. Play under control. Make crisp passes. Gray didn't do that and got benched

Took a timeout when UF started to get back in it.

After losing to one of the worst teams in the league (Tammy) at home,

They took UK to double OT and should have won that game.

Now, a win over Vandy on Saturday will go a long way towards making up for that Tammy game.

So you think Vandy is a good team? The same Vandy team that needed double OT to beat Yale and has lost 3 straight games?

@ Vandy is ALWAYS tough. They are playing UK tough on the road as we speak.

Every SEC road game is tough. That doesn't make Vandy a good basketball team though.

The biggest key to this game was taking away the 3 pt shot...Florida's favorite weapon. Brilliant plan

Teams are rarely good or bad based on one game.
It's poor logic to think (or post) otherwise.

This is the rant. Whatever happens in the most recent game is gospel and the posting will reflect that.

I've given him a lot of negativity.
we looked good tonite, and we'll coached. They played man all night,so we will see what happens when someone 2-3 zones us again.
he looked more engaged during the game too

Yes, a little accountability can go a long way. Much better CJJ. And Geaux Tigers.

Now, let's learn the lesson going to Vandy we didn't after Ole Miss or we'll be right back where we were this morning.

But, after late game collapse against A&M, it was very nice to see the team run offensive sets the whole game and play defense the whole game.

So the take away for the team is they now know that if they play within themselves, they can be a solid basketball team.

What I hope is that as the season goes on we have more games like tonight and less like the last one. Only time will tell.

They'd be 5-0 in SEC, if played with tonight's focus, unity, and slight case of the @ss edge to 'em.

Kudos to JJ and the Tigs tonight!

Ok? What makes Vandy a better basketball team than A&M?

You had no idea what you were talking about but decided to throw in your thoughts.

Nope, the talent is there, which he gets credit for, we should have destroyed this UF team. Players just played harder. We really are the 2nd best team in the sec, but rarely play like it.

Yup but you know as soon as we lose again some idiot is going to start a post called "Johnny Jones is a great recruiter but a bad coach" or something to that effect. Its happened every single time this year. Or maybe the same a-hole keeps bumping the same thread when it happens. Either way, its dumb.

Like the way he coached. They chose better shots tonight, and when gray started turning the ball over! he pulled him. Great job by coach Jones.
