Make sure and practice your faggy jeep wave before taking it on the road

Mine came with a soft top under the hard top. Make sure you get the windows.
i like it, but it's too small. can't carry shite in it, but I got the 2 door.

keep digging that hole. my 4 door (unlimited) can tow more than a 2 door. the 4 door has a longer wheelbase than the two door which helps with approach and breaking angles. why do you think the scramblers were sought after so hard >>>> longer wheelbase! hell, a lot of wheelers stretch the wheelbase even more by cutting out the rear quarters and moving the axles back.
you heard this "real jeep" business from someone and now you're repeating it. get out to the west and see what they're wheeling in.
oh yeah, frick you for calling me white for driving a 4 door jeep.

Mine is stretched 4"
Result of the 3 link, but I can claim it is stretched dammit.

I'm in need of a shade this summer. Summer no top is brutal around town. My forehead is red all summer. I had a small spot of skin cancer cut out last summer on my forehead. I think I may buy a shade/screen this summer

I'll second the Spider Web Shade. Well worth the money

during hunting season when I put the hard top on, I take out the back seat. I carry ice chests, camping gear, etc back there. Lots of room for gear but no bcak seat passengers.

i'm telling you, get that spider web shade i posted a page back. it provides great shade and it never has to be removed.

I want to. Looking to go to Colorado this summer. Try to get the Black Bear Pass B.O.H. If you've calmed down, maybe you could tell me some other fun trails to hit while I'm up there.

I just bought a jeep, hardtop. I much prefer it to the soft top.

quote:calm as a hindu cow. southeast Utah high desert my man, they've got trails for all skill levels and during the summer, there's lots of traffic on the trails so you can meet some people at trailheads and tag along so you're not alone. be honest with yourself and don't try obstacles over your skill/comfort level. follow successful lines of guys in front of you and listen to the spotter (if available)
If you've calmed down,
trail etiquette- you get only get three tries then you have to take the strap.

Sweet. That's not that far from Telluride. Being in Louisiana, you don't have many options. I've wanted to get out of my comfort zone of hills and mud.

There's a really good thread over on Jeepforum.com where Scherb designed that top, all of the changes along the way, and eventually into production.

I'll have to check it out.
Love the retro look and it appears to give a decent amount of headoom in the cargo area. Jumpseats may actually work back there now.
Surprised there isn't a lawsuit over some design infringement.

To add another question to this thread, is there any reason at all to go with the Wrangler over the Unlimited model? I keep trying to talk myself into it, but can't get past how small the interior is. Like I said, I've got a mastiff that will be riding with me from time to time. I saw mention of taking out the rear seat, but I'm still not sure that'd suffice.

Love my Sahara - it has a hard top, but came with a soft top which i have never put on.
Took the hard top off once to haul something too tall to fit otherwise. Not that big a deal to take off/reinstall.

Exactly what I'm trying to avoid though.
