I try to watch baseball to get into it and give it a fair chance, but I just can't. It's awful.

Spend 15 minutes watching any game and you are still on the same batter.

Pitcher takes forever and batter has to adjust his gloves, belt, helmet, shirt, junk, re-tie his shoes and fondle his bat after every...single...pitch.

It's boring and will probably stop being a relevant sport here pretty soon.

stop hitters from messing with their gloves and whatever else they are wearing on their hands/wrists, after every pitch.
I guess that means, do not give them time out to do that.
say, play ball.

its not just the pitchers. batters mess with the pitchers rhythm

Can we agree that it's both, and not the sole fault of one or the other?

Catchers should should be limited in mound visits as well. I think 1 per inning would be nice, maybe 2 maximum.

Baseball already has a pitch clock if the umpires would just enforce it

Didn't read all the posts but I think the pace of the game is on the batter. After each pitch they step out for 5-10 seconds to readjust. They need to get rid of that shite.

ETA: Anti pitch clock if they're going to allow the batter adjust his batting gloves, dig a new hole and take 3 practice swings between pitches.

Prove ANYTHING I said in my post as untrue.
I'm gonna need pics of batters licking their elbows and/or making love to their bats pre-pitch.

Dude had to basically put on new gloves after every pitch. It was maddening.

Sounds like one amazing fricking at bat that I would very much enjoy seeing.

I agree that all of the rituals by the batters does slow the game down. The easiest way to speed the game up is to call legit strike zone.

Step out of the box, hock a loogie, tighten the batting gloves, adjust the elbow brace, hock a loogie, step into the box, adjust balls, dig into stance deeper, take 7 practice swings.

Every.

Damn.

Pitch.
