Jesus people, Jennings has reached his ceiling. What you see is what you going to get. He is a below avg qb...nothing more.

And what qualifies you to make this assessment?

It'd be great if he progresses and becomes a serviceable QB... or Harris does what he needs to do to take over. Any QB that isn't a detriment to the offense would be great.

Jennings last game just doesn't give me much hope... His pass to Diarse was poorly thrown even though it was TD. Had several 5-6 second pocket protection with multiple receiver chances and rolled right and threw out of bounds. Quick out to the fullback that was 10 feet over head...

Just the same mistakes without progress throughout the season. If he is the starter next year, he'll have to improve significantly. Just don't know if he can.

I don't understand why LSU can't get and keep a pipeline of QBs - we seem to have a decent to good QB for a season or two and then nothing.

Jennings is a stop-gap solution. People knew this the second Harris stepped on campus. We don't need him to go out and win a game for us either. Just has to do enough to keep defenses from keying on Fournette & Co.

If he can manage 55% of his throws and 150 yards/game, without turning the ball over, we'll be fine.

Of course, everyone wants more than that, but that's the distinction between a winning team and a crushing one.

And it took him to the 12th game to do this....

BTW those aren't very impressive stats.........ESP against such a shitty D.

Again. He won't get much better if at all..........

All but 11 teams in the country averaged more than 150 per game. 3 were service academies. I promise you there were not 117 teams with 10+ wins this past year.

I think he will progress as well as JJ did between seasons.

and then we can hear the same quotes from Les about how much he's improved, and the quality competition this spring, and how this is the year he "puts it all together."

That's average. Jennings is not even close to that. If Jennings was a C- we would be fine.

If we try to do more on offense next season, which it looks like we will be, I think Jennings (and/or Harris) is going to surprise you guys. I think the QB's and recievers play much better next season with the switch, which is coming, to a more contemporary style of offense.

Not to be a complete jerk, but I hope he gets good at holding clip board and calling in signals to Harris

He simply doesn't have the physical "it" factor to be very good at this level.

Harris is going to make or break Miles future at LSU.

They better get busy on their relationship...and developing Harris in the offseason

More Jennings =good bye Les Miles

I truly believe this...

4-4 is unacceptable at LSU, 6-2 in most seasons going to finish 2nd depending on who the losses were to..

If we want to be Elite, we have to think Elite

Radical!!!

Jennings isn't radical, he is just a kid that is being used to hide ourlack of pass offense because he can't execute reads or down the field throws with the velocity you need with the speed and quickness of DB's

I think if he can be composed and they give him opportunities early in games to gain confidence, he will get the job done.

I think you think too much...the guy is a chunker, not a passer...he chunks it up and lets his receiver run under it...never once saw him actually throw a pass this year to anyone that was really on target...well, maybe a couple of the drops, but I actually think the receivers were so shocked they didn't have to jump, dive, fall backward, grab their shoe laces, or reach between their legs to make a catch, they just dropped the ball...

AJ < JJ and that's just a shade above terrible, terrible, terrible!!! Only reason we didn't run multiple receiver sets was because he couldn't see but one to begin with, no sense sending more out if he can't see them...

His statement was flawed, but his point is accurate. His play against MS State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Bama, Ark, and Notre Dame were well below average and not good enough to win 10 games a season. Play against Florida, Kentucky, and A&M might get us to 10 wins with a great OLine, RB's, and D, but will never have us in title contention. His most recent game, Notre Dame, was played with a month to prepare and against a terrible D with about 3 starters still able to play. 50% 159 yards, 1TD and 1Fum. Zero evidence showing he will get better. None.
